PS3 losing this generation :(

The xbox just doesn't seem to have the games i like...god of war? resistance? modnation? Also i did own a 360 for 6 months....it broke twice....never again...it's just like windows....there are better alternatives. Even ifthe psn online isn't as good as 360 i will never goback beena year and halfno problems with my ps3.

wait just a second, people actually care about sales of video games and video game consoles? what is wrong with you guys? yes, it's nice to see something you like sell good, but at the end of the day you as a person that likes playing video games should be doing just that - playing video games. i thought people were actually joking about the sales thing. some people on here actually care too much.

Shouldn't matter to most people. At the end of the day Sony will release a PS4 and MS will release the next xbox. Buy whichever you choose and play your games.

I've got access to a PS3, Wii, DS, X360 and a PC etc. It's people who stick to one format that have "lost" this generation, because they're missing out on some of the best games around.

I fail to see the logic of some posters in this thread ... how is it possible that the PS3 is losing to the 360, when the PS3 is outselling the 360 by a good margin world wide ???

I can't argue with fallacies, except the facts first then try and make your point from there, but you can't dismiss that the PS3 has done better than the 360.

Also the library thing is objective, but when you compare all three systems libraries face to face. The PS3 has the most highly critical acclaimed games this gen. FACT.

You really didn't have to list off a bunch of games on the PS3 as most people on here reading this thread are well aware of the games available. Denial is to be expected but just to play devils advocate here.

Socom 4 - 64 on metacritic.

Uncharted - I personally don't care for Tomb Raider games but I could see people liking this however, the multiplayer aspect was dead a month into launch.

Infamous - Come on. Same game as Prototype. Mediocre at best.

The Xbox 360 has Halo and Gears. These two franchises ALONE have DESTROYED the sales of ALL these games combined. Hell, Halo 3 and Halo Reach have done this. The numbers speak for themselves. Ironically, the 360 has the best JRPG this gen too, which is Lost Odyssey.

And the PC argument is null and void. Console players don't play PCs. They may play a game here and there but primarly play on the console. I personall love the fact that great PC games are on the 360 because even with my Alienware laptop, I really don't want to play on it. Friends on the 360, great controller, and huge tv play a big role.

I will give you Disgaea, the 360 lacks in this area all though Agarest War has come out.

your trying too hard...and the last thing you want to throw out is gears of war after gears 2 was horrible and we only played the beta for 3

Really? what about modnation? What about mario cart? these games still have a huge online....huge. And infamous is not prototype.....prototype was just Hulk ultimate destruction on the new gen....hence it was lame. Halo and gears are both clunky shooters that are fan boy games and mean nothing like cod....the catolog speaks for itself....each consoles has its strengths...the best shooteris amulti plat.... borderlands.

Its May of 2011 and Lemmos have no games to play.

Amen to that brother, i mainly game on PC as most of you know and my console of the choice is always was and going to be PlayStation brand, why? cuz of the exclusives they offer that i can't find on any other system, i always had more that 1 console back when PS1 was out i also had a Dreamcast, then with PS2 i had XBOX and Game Cube, then with PS3 i got a XBOX 360 to try Halo 3 and Gears of War and to be honest my XBOX 360 (Halo 3 Special Edition) been sitting under my computer desk for atleast a year,my best friend who only plays 360 always get on my case why i never buy games for the 360 so we can play and i tell him why in the world would i wanna pay $20-$30 more and another $60/year when i can play the same game with much better detail and framerate on sweet system like my PC? i turn on my XBOX every now and then and chat with couple friends but i honestly don't recall the last time i actually played on the thing, so yea im a multiconsole owner but PlayStation is always going to be my console of the choice and PC my main platform.

despite many ps3 exclusives coming out this year. Microsoft managed to sell the xbox 360 very well and needless to say its still beating the ps3 in sales by a mile. heck, i went into my local gamestop last saturday at peak hour and there wasn't anybody at the ps3 section with the xbox 360 section full of people. what do you guys think?

The worst scoring Fable game which isn't even exclusive and a Halo 3 expansion versus the PS3's two biggest games. What a fair battle.

when gears of 3 comes out this fall, it will crush all ps3 exclusives of this year. yeah at the moment xbox don't have any exclusives but watch at the end of the year it will be time for 360 to release most of their games since they seem to love selling their stuffs on the holidays.

Ever since the PS3's launch, Sony had to constantly keep dropping prices, bringing out bundles, SKU's, etc., just for them to even reach 50 million PS3 owners right now or for them to easily catch up to the 360 in sales. Plus the reason why it kept "outselling" 360 is because of the huge success off of the PS2 & because of Sony loyalists.

Nintendo sure had no problems getting over 50 million owners in less than 4 & a half years, & Sony didn't have a problem getting over 50 million owners in less than 4 & a half years with the PS1 & the PS2, so why are they having that problem with the PS3 now?

Not to mention that the PS3 didn't really start taking off until the slim model with the $300 price tag. They also lost a lot of marketshare to the 360 & a lot of money thanks to PS3 itself since the beginning of their launch.

So, yeah, I wouldn't exactly call playing catch up to competitors "winning."

Well it may be losing in the real world, but it's winning on System Wars! And we all know System Wars is way more important than real life. After this gen only Sony will exist because SW is the most important thing in the world, and Nintendo and MS will kill themselves at the request of the cows on SW.

If a newcomer to the video game scene was locked in a room with a bunch of games scattered across the table in front of him and he happen to play all of the games and then afterwards preferred all the multiplat titles without knowing which games were exclusive to a particular system would it be embarassing for him? NO. Why because he didn't care for those exclusives. At the end of the day exclusives and multiplats are both games. The fact that you can only play a particular game on one system means jack **** if a person doesn't give two flying ***** about it.

ps3 has the best games, the highest quality system, and the most to offer with blu ray. wii is last gen, xbox doesnt live up to any hype. it takes me hours to find a decent 360 exclusive thats not named halo

...but it still doesn't discount my argument about newcomers. Who cares if no one here is a newcomer what counts is what is happening "out there". But as you said this is system wars and obviously people are free to make whatever rational or irrational argument they feel like doing to satisfy their needs but I just feel that some people get carried away with the "exclusive argument".
