PS3 or Wii? Vote inside.

I'm going to buy a new console today but I don't know which one to get. I already have a 360 and a HDTV. I'm looking forward to Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Metroid Prime 3.

Which console should I get?

Depends on how much time you are putting into your 360, if you have a lot of games for it that you are enjoying, then either the PS3 or Wii will hold you over until games like those come out. To be honest, this month is pick up speed for the Wii, Pokemon comes out in a few weeks and the Wii online will be up and running world wide, Super Mario Strikers Charged is coming out in July which has online play and The Bigs is coming out this month as well. Boogie, Madden 08 and Metroid Prime 3 are supposed to be out in August so there will be a few good games then.

The PS3 has Ninja Gaiden Sigma and The Darkness later this month, Lair late next month as well. God knows when Heavenly Sword is coming out, that game seems to be taking forever, however it is supposed to be released between July and the end of September for Q3 2007.

take PS3 because wii is not going to last that long and good games are STARTING to come out for PS3 but I reccommend waiting until the summer till you buy anything

EDIT: thers rumored to be a price drop by a $100 in august or early september

Get the wii now and get the ps3 when the price drops and when it has a better game library. All you need right now is a 360 and a wii because the ps3 has only one great exclusive, RFOMzrosen82

I'd go either Wii60 or WiiS3 this gen.

If you go ps360 this gen.....you'll just be getting two consoles that will share many of the same games and multiplats.

and the wii is overflowing with great games... game informer made an article on this on how wii is getting a free pass from bashing for some reason.

I would go with the wii. its got some great games comming out. and teh PS3 will share many of its games with the 360, I wouldnt say that is worth $600 at all if you really want it at least wait until teh price drops.

wii if all you want to play is mini games(don't say i'm wrong here, because i'm not.). with ps3, you'll have to wait a while, but there are some solid games coming out soon.

When taking into consideration the game library, remember that both consoles have much better backwards compatibility than the X360 does. That means that you're open to tons of PS1 and PS2 titles with the PS3, and GCN titles on the Wii. Personally, I'd wait on both until they get some killer apps. The Wii won't get its killer apps(SSBB, MP3:C, BWii, among others)until a few months from now, and I'm not sure about the PS3(most of its titles don't interest me).NamelessPlayer

very true, just being able to play all ps2 games upscaled to 1080p is worth 400 bucks in my book( ps2 was 300 bucks when it first came out), add in a ps3 and a blue ray player, and youve got more than 1200 bucks worth of stuff for only 600 bucks.

If you already have a 360... get a Wii. That way you get the major games on the 360 and multiplats and you get the Nintendo games.

they're all sequels. and that's 4 games. big deal.

what's the point of playing a sword using game on wii if you can't use the sword like a real sword? 

super mario galaxy's control scheme will be similar to this:

• "The control stick on the Nunchuk attachment is used to move Mario.
• The A button on the Wii Remote is used for jumping. Timed presses will result in progressively higher jumps, similar to the triple-jump function in Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros..

that's not innovative at all. the wii mote is only used for minor things, making the game even more annoying to play because you have to use it's 3 buttons for the rest of the stuff. how can you play a next gen game with 3 buttons?

i'll give you metroid prime and super smash because i have no info on those. but still, only two games.

you mean overflowing with crappy games most of them not even worth spending a penny on the series is mario zelda metroid and maybe wario but the reat is complete crap all the way

after the big 3 and probably another zelda and no more heroes what is there in the 8 years? just more of those five games more than likely

If you have a 360 already....you can play the Xbox Ninja Gaiden Black on 360 and its cheap....Sigma is a remake of that with a few minor tweaks and sugar coating. Save yourself the $60, man.

Might as well get a Wii.....if you enjoy Nintendo franchises.
