[QUOTE="Sihanouk"] June is a very good month for the PS3. Let's take this moment to give credits where credits are due.
PS3 PROBLEMS:
Lack of killer exclusive...Solved. IGN gives Metal Gear Solid 4 perfect scores on all categories. Closing Comments:
Is it possible to give a game an 11? If so, this would be the game that would merit that score.
Consoles not selling well...Solved. The PS3 is now outselling the 360 in America, Europe, Japan, and Pluto. See this month's NPD numbers.
Lack of rumble...solved. The PS3 controller now has motion control and rumble.
Lack of DTS-HD Master audio...solved. The PS3 now produces the best sound in games and movies.
Negative Press...sovled. The PS3 is by far the most improved console this generation. The press is starting to give credits where credits are due. Arstechnica, a very respected tech-orieted site, gave the PS3 a 6 rating during the launch year. Now it gives the PS3 a 9. http://arstechnica.com/reviews/hardware/playstation-3-blu-ray.ars
XBOX 360 PROBLEMS:
Reliability... Not solved. It is still the most unreliable console on the market. Red Ring of Death. Noisy. Too much heat.
Lack of very powerful CPU, standard hard disk drive, and high-capacity optical disk...Not solved. This makes the 360 the least future-proof of all HD-capable consoles. At the moment, next-generation is best defined by the PS3.
LIVE fees...not sovled. Still expensive considering every gaming platform, the PC, the Mac, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS, PSP all allow free multiplayer gaming over the internet. LIVE fees make the 360 the most expensive console to own out of all consoles on the market today.
Lack of motion-sensing control...not solved. Poor 360. Unlike Wii or PS3, it has no montion control.
POOR performance in Japan and Europe...Not solved. The 360 is basically dead in Japan. We all know that. In Europe, despite a price cut earlier this year, the 360 is still struggling. In fact, it has been said that the 360 is struggling, clutching at straws. http://www.eurogamer.net/article.php?article_id=147092. Now with the PS3 outselling the 360 in May and with June's monster of a game Metal Gear Solid 4, the future of the 360 in America only looks grimmer every month.
Inability to play Blu-ray movies...not solved. This is a big deal, even if you mostly care about games. The truth is most of us also like movies. The best sights and sounds produced by the movies are found in Blu-ray. The PS3 is the only console capable of bringing out the best sights and sounds in your living or bedroom.
Let's give credits to where credits are due. The PS3 gives you the most bang for the buck (best value), the best sights and soundsn(Cell and Blu-ray), and the most peace of mind (reliability and future-proof design).

Ah, the life of a fanboy. In the TC's world, the Wii doesn't exist, the Sixaxis isn't a sham, (presumably) Sony provides it's userbase with free Dualshock 3 controllers, and one game makes a library.
Exactly.
[QUOTE="KOTORkicker"]
At least 360 and Wii don't solve their problems by using other consoles solutions. And why do people keep on saying its future-proof? Just because its future proof doesn't mean it will fare any better than Wii, 360 or PC, for that matter.
First Point Regarding X360 Unreliability : New chipsets have been released which rectify the RRoD problem, no-one really cares about noise, as everyone plays X360 at quite a high volume anyway, and too much heat? Right.....It produces as much (if not less) heat as both Wii and PS3.
Second Point : LoL at the fact that you say that 360 has low processing prower is a load of BS aswell.
Links to console Wiki's and System Specs:
X360 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360
PS3 : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PS3
Basically, the Systems are the same, but done with different hardware.
Its Hard Drive is a FireWire variation I believe, so in what way is it not a proper Hard Drive? You don't know? Thats what I thought.
Optical drive speeds are so insignificant, that the Wiki doesn't even list them.
Third Point : I think the fact that XBL has led and influenced the online console gaming market and provides the most services and best in game Messaging System more than justifies it.
Fourth Point : Lack of motion sensing? So the 360 doesn't ape the Wii and put motion sensing in their controller. Does that make it less noteworthy or a worse console? I don't think so and I don't think the rest of the 360 Gamers are bothered by it either.
Fifth Point : Microsoft never expected to do well in Japan, and so far I have actually noticed quite an abundancy of Asian gamers on XBL....Sony expect that everyone will love their console at first sight, unlike Microsoft.
So 360 has sold 19 Million since Late November, 05'. PS3 has sold 12.7 Million since January 06'. Do the math. (Links to these figures are also on the Wiki.)
....And your fifth point is irrelevant as Blu-Ray, as has been credited by marketing officials is, unless serious infrastructure revision is done, is fast becoming a dead format to the casual user. (You are talking about Blu-Ray being a unique selling point for PS3, when the actual selling point has to stem from casual demand, of which there is none, presently.
Mathematically, the 360 is the most popular console this gen, and PS3 is the least (19 Mil > 12.7 Mil) so you tell me how PS3 has less problems, from the perspective of a marketing official.

Do you even know how to give credits where credits are due?
If the PS3 solves its problems using other console's methods, then so be it. It's better to have problems solved than not. Unfortunately, the 360 can't solved the problems I listed in anyway whatsoever.
Xbox unreliability: It's not true that new chipsets have been released that sovled the hardware issues. Why are you trying to spread misinformation. If that is the case, Microsoft and the press world would have made it loud and clear. The truth is the 360 is still the most unreliable console on the market. Face it.
The 360 has a significantly less powerful CPU than the PS3. That's why you will never get a large-number multiplayer game with open environments and decent graphics like the PS3. How often do you hear gaming sites say this game or that game is the most technoligically advanced game ever made? It didn't happen on the 360, but on the PS3 there's Metal Gear Solid 4.
Stop trying to spread misinformation again. You are being pathetic saying the PS3 and the 360 are basically the same. They not. The PS3 is superior in optical diskspace, faster CPU, and standard hard disk drive. Let's make a bet. You will never hear respected gaming sites say any game on the 360 as the most technoligcally advanced game ever. The PS3 already has Metal Gear Solid 4, this early in its life span. Why I am so certain that the 360 can't produce such a game? Because the 360 is signficantly inferior to the PS3. Period. Face reality.
Sure, I'll give credits to where credits are due: the 360 currently has a better online system. But is it worth the extra money? To many people, if not most, it isn't. That's why the 360's install base will be last place this generation. Most gamers are smart enough to know that LIVE fees make the 360 very expensive to own. Let's not forget that the PS3 network is definitely good enough for multiplayer gaming. Games such as GTA4 actually plays better on the PS3 according to Gamepro because the PS3 uses dedicated servers. Also, PSN is constantly being improved, and soon with HOME and in-game XMB, the PS3's value as a gaming system only gets better.
Fourth Point: Motion-sensing. You said the 360 owners aren't bothered by it. It's hard to be bothered by something you have never experieced. At the very least the PS3 controllers have additional means for developers to design control schemes in their games. Motion sensing is better than no motion sensing. Admit it. Face it.
Fifth point: The 360 came out 1 year earlier than the PS3, of course it's gonna have a larger install base. Remember Microsoft expecting to have a 10 million head start? Well, they never got it. It's about 6 million head start now. It's shrinking every week. The PS3 is winning the 360 in sales in every continent each week/month. For the 360, it's not a good sign. Face it. Admit it.
Mathemically, the Wii is the most popular this gen, and the 360 is doomed to be 3rd place. Most analysts have said the 360 will be dead last this generation. The PS3 might even beat the Wii when it's all over. Face it. Deal with it: The 360 will be dead last this generation.
So its completely ok to blatantly rip off other consoles, yes?
Get a life. PS3 is still in third place, and no the PS3 was released two months after the Xbox. 360 has shipped 19 Million. PS3 12.7 Million. Can fanboys do math?
And read the Wiki. They're the same specs with different hardware.
