It can (i think) be ported you know. Plus the trilogy can fit on one Blu ray disc.
Lets just say they take up the whole disc...
ME1: 9GB
ME2: 18GB
ME3:18GB
= 45GB
Blu Ray Disc Dual Layer = 50GB.....with 5GB to spare..
You mean ME2 right? PS3 only users aren't missing out much for ME1... DaViD_99
Hey! Mass Effect 1 was a great game too ya know
Were not missing much most people own a PC and can pick up Mass Effect if they really want to play it. For me, I am waiting until its announced for the ps3. I hate playing RPGS on the PC unless its a MMO.

as connected trilogy tho, losing 1 game kinda defeats the purpose
Too bad you need to duplicate data to make up for the slow read speeds of blu-ray.It can (i think) be ported you know. Plus the trilogy can fit on one Blu ray disc.

I'm gonna be honest, I havent played Mass Effect 2 yet, but Mass Effect 1 can get pretty monotonous real fast. The side quests consist of you going to barren planets and just "inspecting" random objects or what not, and maybe if you get lucky, they might throw one enemy out there for you to shoot. And Bioware really needs to learn to be concise. In every single Bioware game (especially my much hated Knight of the Old Republic series) you spend 90% of your time hearing boring monotonous dialog. I understand story is important, but I wish they evened out the dialog by adding more combat sequences. And I hate the Codex system. I hate when games expect you to read the history of the game world. Like in Resistance with the intel documents and what not. Good writers should find a way to tell you everything relevant to the story withing the general story sequences, not have you inspect things just so you can get a codex update.
Oh yeah and biotic powers look lame. Come on Bioware, give us something to look at. All the biotic abilities look like minor variations of the same special effect. Real boring, and 4 weapon classes, with each weapon in each class practically looking the same? And 90% of the armor being nothing more than a paint job? A bit lazy if you ask me. It's a good game, don't get me wrong, but it gets a lot of undue love around these parts.

As connected as a trilogy can be, you can skip ME2 and go right to ME3 and there wont be much of difference in main plot...
ME1 ending, the reapers are coming... ME2 ending, the reapers are coming...

Methinks you should play Mass Effect 2 :) I want to . People got mad when people started saying "You can't really consider ME2 an RPG" but I thanked the heavens. Hopefully I will spend more time playing than reading with Mass Effect 2. :DI'm gonna be honest, I havent played Mass Effect 2 yet, but Mass Effect 1 can get pretty monotonous real fast. And that was my biggest gripe with ME2...I absolutely hate how they handled the story in ME2.

ME was AAA 91 on Metacritic. Despite its flaws, it's still AAA. Anyone would be missing out.
So cows can invest money into a PC buy Lemmings can't put money in a ps3? Right. 2 systems vs 1 never fails for cows.Thats happans with all exclusives...
But most people could play ME on their PC.

I would agree that anyone who avoided using a PC or Xbox/360, and missed Knights of the Old Republic and Mass Effect, has missed out on some of the best RPGs of our generation.
That said, I'm not sure I would recommend playing Bioware RPGs on a console...
You cant just say *insert ps3 exclusive* 360 owners are missing out on. Most PS3 exclusives arent games 360 owners like. ME2 is a game I feel a lot of cows would thoroughly enjoy. Ive never played a game that sucks you in so much, immersive is the word Im looking forshadow8585And how exactly do you know what other 360 owners do and don't like? Seriously, anyone can just spin that awful logic and say "you can't just say *insert 360 game* PS3 owners are missing out on.
