PS3 won't stand up against the Wii come this Fall

Fall is coming, or is it already here? Summer has come to an end or is ending. I'm not very good at remembering when seasons begin and end, but regardless, the fall is looking bright for the Wii where as for the Playstation 3, the same can't be said. Sure, you got Gran Turismo 5 and Little Big Planet 2 -- both which might (or will) end up getting critical acclaim, but what else? A quite a few of Move games?

I'm sorry but those games don't look very hot. Especially in comparison to some the below titles I'm going to list which mop the floor with them. :P In fact, I'm surprised Wii fans arn't going off the walls right now. I know they were back in June, but the excitement seems to have fallen down a bit. They've had a tremendous year, and it looks like it'll only get better. Best time to be a Wii gamer right now. Why?

Nintento is going for the core consumer this Fall season, while Sony seems to be trying to rack in the casual flavor that Nintendo has dominated for so long. Don't believe me? Let's go watch E3 2010 again and find out where each company's prerogatives are. What we're going to see this Fall is a bunch of quality exclusives on the Wii. Again, don't believe me? Let's take a look!

It's hard not to happy if you're a Wii gamer, especially since it looks to be crushing the competition this fall.

The PS3 has some big multiplats coming that the Wii wont be getting, so it's not really gonna be the domination that you think.

I agree, the Wii does have a fantastic lineup. I can't wait to play games like Kirby's Epic Yarn, Metroid: Other M and Goldeneye 007.

Mmm only took 4 years. Better late than never I suppose.

I'll admit the Wii has the best exclusive lineup for the rest of the year but you don't do your argument any favours when you say it'll crush the competition and then use a Goldeneye rip-o...er I mean remake and The conduit 2. to prove it.

I can understand Goldeneye on the list but the Conduit 2? Idk...

But yeah, Wii is going to be hot this fall. PLUS The Last Story will be released in Japan aswell this fall :D

I have both a PS3 and Wii and I still am not that excited over the Wii's line up.

I mean Conduit 2 is nothing to get excited about and I am not really excited about Golden eye for the Wii either. FPS are not fun on the Wii, controls and crappy online make it very hard to compete with ANY FPS on the PS3. As for Kirby and Donkey Kong, they look like fine classic side scrolling platforming games, but honestly the quality makes me think of something that i can find on XBox Live or PSN. I love classic gameplay but I am not sure if I love it enough to spend 49.99 when I could get some creative classic gameplay games for 15 on PSN.

I think Metroid is probably the biggest thing the Wii has IMO, and the only one that makes me lift my eyebrow slightly. Overall, honestly, I am still not as impressed with the Wii's releases and see myself playing LBP 2 more then ANY of these games. I mean it's a nice list and all but pitting any of those games against GT just seems silly. That game alone creates huge hype.

Oh yea and I am still on the fence about that Micky game. After seeing gameplay footage my hype level went down a lot.

this is by no means a bad year for any gamer, the Wii gets these games in the fall along with GT5+ LBP2 for ps3 fans, halo reach for 360 fans, on top of the new COD and MOH games NOT TO MENTION all the great games ps3/360 users have got earlier this year AND starcraft II AND the new WOW expansion for PC users who are into those genres (plus not to mention all the games on steam and what not that are coming/have come out)

in short the only envious gamer this holiday season is the one who only has one platform! :D

And how are the multiplats. I still to fail why people exclude multiplats.

to each their own then i guess....shooters i'll agree with to an extent, but games like halo and metroid prime i can play over an over, i'm actually playing MP1 right now gearing up for Other M in a week

i love ratchet games, but not one of em is gonna beat SMG 1 or 2 and that's about the only game comparable in the PS3's library

zelda and kirby epic yarn are unmatched...although 3D game heroes is a freaking blast to play

MP3 and Other M just have a great atmosphere and it's environments i have not found on the PS3

and nothing like DKC either

um yes they would, its ment to be a family console, if a kid asks their parents that they want a new console... they will buy a wii before a 360 or ps3 for the price alone, let alone the perceived audience for the games library violent games and what not

it's like that Limbo level that someone made....complete copy of limbo, great editing, but did it really FEEL like limbo? no not all, didn't capture the atmosphere at all

gonna be great to make all kinds of games with LBP2, but it's still gonna FEEL like a LBP game, and NOT a metroid game or zelda or even mario

I never understood ur passion with PS3 Vs Wii .... Can't you try this with adding the x360 instead of the PS3? the x360 has the worst line up this holiday but i guess you won't Stevo.

Anyway the Wii has great games this Holiday, Meroid is the best imo among these, but i will get GT5 instead.
