PS3 won't stand up against the Wii come this Fall

I would advice against using a SW thread for indicative of anything, for obvious reasons.

Secondly, no one is using nostalgia as an argument, just pedigree (hyping a new game of a famous and beloved franchise does not classify as nostalgia), and about the grafics and rehashes part, practically every 360 vs PS3 argument is based on them.

I doubt anyone tried to dismiss multiple games simultaneously because of gfx for 360 vs PS3. Well I'm pretty quick to dismiss third party Wii titles myself, and some first party ones too. If sales are indicative of anything I know I'm not the only one.

I played those games 10 years ago. Sure they were a bit diff and in SD but there basically the same.

who cares what games the wii is getting. pretty much every ps3 owner i can think of is just going to be playing black ops or gt5 so it doesn't really matter. just like all 360 owners will be playing black ops or halo reach.antifanboyftw

If they only had this lineup at launch....then Nintendo had already a new console now...a HD Zelda and Metroid that made Uncharted2 and the Halo's look like cake...imagine a Zelda with Uncharted2 graphics or Crysis graphics...(Aaagh, a man must dream sometimes)

I chose the ps1 over the n64 for a reason back in the day, as I like more adult focused in depth story driven games. I don't want to play with a pink ball of yarn, o with a big ape that throws barrels, sorry but I didn't like the n64 lineup and loved the ps1 lineup... I have a PS3 and a list of over 10 games I want to play when I get a chance, Does any Wii owner that plays 15Hrs + a week have a list of games they want to catch up on? I doubt it.

My back log of PS3 and Wii games is about equal. Now that I think about it, there are probably more Wii games i need to get around to than PS3. Not by much though.

The Wii has a lot of great games that go under the radar. People here on SW just like to be hypocrites. They ***** and moan that the Wii doesnt get good 3rd party games, but then when the Wii gets some they choose to ignore them and only concentrate 1st party hype games. As a result, peoples idea of the Wii is Mario, Metroid, Zelda and shovelware.

And that my friend is probably why your perception of the Wiis library is so off base.

I'm pretty sure those are it, I wouldn't be surprsied if Gamespot hasn't reviewed a few but I got them all in my spreadsheet in my signature there so. I think I gt them all. But anyways, I think Cave Story should also be included but that's a Wiiware game. AAA on Gamerankings after 15 reviews, and yet, Gamespot hasn't reviewed it. Pity.

The AAAAE is pretty significant and it only has one more AAE (it doesn't matter to me much that it has more games that are .5 higher, they're all AAEs in the end), I don't see that list as much better, it's still better though. I actually thought it was a bigger gap than that this year between the Wii and PS3.
