PS3 won't stand up against the Wii come this Fall

That's because 3rd party really really shot themsevles in the foot this gen. Well, some of the reasons I really can't blame them because at the start of this gen, everybody was betting on MS and Sony, and just about everyone cept diehard sheep held out hope that Nintendo will be successful. Most 3rd party except Ubisoft is like going, "Bleh, Nintendo, this gen, they're done". And put something liek 70-90% of their focus on the HD twins instead.

So Nintendo blew out of the left door and took everyone by surprise. So now, 3rd party are like "Looking at the Nintendo table, with basically only Nintendo choming down on the quarterhouse steaks, cheesecakes and Dom Perignon champians while they look at their table...and see only scraps." And with the high development cost of HD development, especially PS3 initially, Companies were screaming murder! And since it takes two years min. to develop a good game, most thrid party are shut out of the Wii running in the begining, and so they shoved their C and D teams to create something fast to catch the Wii freght train. WEll, it worked out, to some degree, So 3rd party had this mentallity of "on the Wii, D class effort will bring A class results". And with development time so long, they kept on shoveling ports, D class efforts like Carnival Games, and worse, shovelware on the Wii to see which sticks while they play catch up. And guess what? Consumers ain't stupid. after awhile, they got tired of this bruhaha, and stopped buying a lot of 3rd party offers, except some jewels like EA workout, and Rayman etc. Otherwise, 3rd party basically shot themsevles in the foot. Look at the 3rd party lineup on the Wii, just how many games are there that had the effort, money, and marketing put in as the HD twins games? None I can assure you! And the end result shows. And what the 3rd party do? Blame on EVeryone, especially Nintendo except themsevles. Don't believe me, on Neogaf, several game developers admited they will carry a HD game to the end, even if THEY knew it would bankrupt them and will not bother with the Wii! That's the type of mentality this gen...

The game had an awesome showing at E3, I think the awards were deserved even if the game failed to deliver.

i love ratchet games, but not one of em is gonna beat SMG 1 or 2 and that's about the only game comparable in the PS3's library

zelda and kirby epic yarn are unmatched...although 3D game heroes is a freaking blast to play

MP3 and Other M just have a great atmosphere and it's environments i have not found on the PS3

and nothing like DKC either

Yeah, about that. Sony has this little platformer series by the name of Little Big Planet. May want to look into that.

Uhh....LBP maybe the end all be all to cows, but IMO, it's creation, file sharing etc can not be beat...But platforming wise....Uhh.....sorry! There is just something "Funky" about LBP's platforming.....and it's just not up to par compared to SMG, SMG2 and NSMB2: Wii! Platforming is the heart and soul of Mario series, while the creation and file sharing part diluted LBP's platforming IMO.

Game totally did not deliever but the concept was really great imo. It wasn't a failure of a game I mean it did work though it had problems. I think E3 awards is the time to highlight great new advancements in games and not just polish and shine.

I rather enjoined Scribblenaut. It was not the game many were hopping, but it still was fun to play. Super Scribblenaut is one of my top 5 games I want this year.

The trailer looks like so much fun. Most people seem to have forgotten this game comes out in 2 months.

Well, as I said before, I never played it, so I really can't comment on the game itself. It does seem the sequel is slipping in under the radar, though, and it could certainly end up surprising a lot of people. :)

Not surprised. The Wii seems to have a good coming lineup this fall all the way through next year. But the PS3 can stand up on its own. I'm also not surprised this is coming from Stevo cuz to him, everything >>> PS3. Obvious lemming is obvious. DK is a mixed bag, I mean, DKC sound 12 million units but this isn't coming close to that, it might destroy sales wise too, who know :P I was never around for the launch of GT games though, are they so strong to start that they would outsell all those games? (which will scrape up atleast 6 million durinng the holidays)
