PS4 comes with headset, Xbox One does NOT

Perhaps today's most important revelation is the confirmation that the PS4 will come with a headset, which can plug into a dedicated headset jack on the bottom of the controller. Not shipping a headset with the PS3 was a major mistake for Sony, and has resulted in quieter chat lobbies than the Xbox 360 offers players.

The PS4 will also work with current headsets.

I hate earphones that go inside the ear.  I'll get my own cheap pair if I feel like talking to people online.  Also, from what I understand xbox will use Kinect for a headphone?

That is HORRIBLE.

Kinect as a headphone? LOL. All that means is you will hear other peoples TV's, Crying Babies, Parents yelling, White noise, etc.... Gamers will literally have to yell at their Kinect from across the room, just so others can hear them in Call of Duty.

yes!!! I was hoping now that sony was charging for online they would include a headset, good news. X1 not having one and still being more money is not cool. wait, is live included in the xbox for 500? if so thats not as bad.

With their background in Audio (they invented the Walkman, 30 years ago), I am confident the PS4 headset will at least be decent.

the kinect has a positional mic so it could theoretically filter out all noise not coming from the user playing. But given the garbled mess the original kinect was im not confident they will or it will work well.
