[QUOTE="aroxx_ab"][QUOTE="MBirdy88"] Then why have you bought a launch Wii u? =/ seems hypocritical, will go down in price and actually have games.timbers_WSU
Because of the games and i have owned every Nintendo console released except handhelds/Virtual boy. You know i love Nintendo 1st party games, other games is just a bonus. WiiU have exclusives like ZombiU which i thought was very good/fun.
This month i getting Monster Hunter Ultimate which will give me over 2000hrs gaming like Monster Hunter Tri for Wii;)
This proves my point. You bought every Nintendo system that has came out so you bought the Wii U. That is how us non-forum people will be with the NextBox. It is what they are familiar with. And people here will never admit it. But XBOX owners will buy Halo and Gears like Wii U owners will snatch up Mario. And Activision will tell you after COD's performance on the Wii U that COD is a juggernaut for Activision on the Microsoft platform. That not always work out, look at Ps1-Ps2 domination. Xbox would not had chance if that logic was true.
Nope. Mario did not sale the N64. SEGA as we know it is dead. Sonic didn't do anything but get worse over the years. Sheep think Mario is important because Nintendo puts him in every game but Wii Sports sold the Wii. Not Mario. One of the few reasons Mario games do well is because it is on a Nintendo system where there is nothing else to buy. Now here is the Wii U. Again.....Mario did not sale the system. The Wii U has been a massive failure so far. When it comes to Nintendo systems the craziest things always happens. 3rd party games are either crapware or a shell of what they are on the other systems so people just look for the Published by Nintendo name on the case. People do not buy Nintendo made systems for EA, Ubisoft, or Sega games. We still don't have enough sense to quit buying them period! But I think the Wii U will help us realize next time Nintendo brings out another console that they suck ass now.mario and sonic proves exclusives have been important for a long time.
These companys need to learn one thing from nintendo exclusives are important and thats it.

Yeah give a big variety of games is reason of flop and just weaken your brand:|

When black ops 2 launched on wiiu it was also avalible for pc,360,ps3 and wiiu's more expensive than ps3/360.
If someone bought a console to play black ops 2 it wouldnt be wiiu.

Mario 64 was bundled, no onw barely brough Mario64 on retail, even with the other bundles or if they buyed used. Wave Race didn't sell as well as people keep thinking, the N64 was only popular in one region.Sony didn't win with PS3 for the 1st time ever. It was because they released 1yr after the 360 released and it was priced too high. They have taken that seriously and aren't making that mistake again. They also have taken very seriously making the PS4 developer friendly, making the system more user friendly/appealing by including a mic with every system, adding social features to the network, making so games no longer have installs and games bought from the online Playstation Store are immediately playable. They will price the PS4 right this time & will continue to show it's appeal to the public at E3. Also when PS3 came out the Wii was a huge success and the Wii U isn't a success at all. This all adds up to the PS4 likely selling a lot better than PS3 did.
PS4 already won. And Sony is not being generous and giving M$ a head start this gen. All things considered, PS3 beat the 360 even when it started the race early and not to mention all dem sales from the RROD...domination baby.
It's going to be the 6th gen all over again: PS4 = PS2 Nextbox = Xbox Wii U = GC

after all the vast majority of games are multiplatform nowMBirdy88
Yes, that tends to happen at the very end of a hardware generation, when exclusives have naturally become less important.
It amazes me how you people forget that things go in cycles.
If Sony still thinks that movies are games, then they are fvcked.
sonic1564
This is the worst argument anyone can use for Sony's games. It baffles me how people even say this anymore. It clearly shows when either people havent't played the game or they are clearly biased against Sony.
As an example. Uncharted series is one of the most fun this gen, the cinematic PRESENTATION just make it that much better.
So you expect everyone that bought Kinect this gen to buy 720 for Kinect 2.0, yeah that worked out well for Nintendo didn't it. I'm not seeing what MS has over Sony. I think it's also pathetic that you'd want those bullet points to make up for MS giving as little effort as possible on exclusives, you know, the games that define a platform or brand. Seems you Lems will be happy with a Genericbox720.
I don't buy consoles for non-gaming features. I want games on my gaming console, thank you. I give zero **** about "Skype integration" or the "Windows 8 ecosystem". The whole movie for games argument against Sony is hilarious. I guess it's bad that Sony actually cares about story in their games. Since when was having story a bad thing in video games? I guess it is to people who only judge the quality of a game based on how many Michael Baysplosions are in it.
Xbox has lost Fable (it now has robots and factories, plus is on PC), Rareware (making sports games for christ), Remedy (Alan Wake on PC), JRPGs (Mistwalker) and indies (killed XNA) and is dead to me
They can still turn it around, but chances are so slim with all the crappy Kinect focus and zero important releases in years
What console hasn't showed games at its conference though =/I don't really care much for the "exclusive" moniker, but I think launch lineup is extremely important. Bottom line is, the Sony conference showed games, and that's very encouraging.
clone01
And yet people would buy the next xbox for cod despite it being on PS3. because xbox live gold is in many eyes a sign of quality and consistency. something sony could not have, given down for 2 months, not all games having trophy support.... oh and ... PSN now being redundant.people didnt buy wiiu to play black ops 2 reason it sold crappy lol.

You really are gonna try and get dumber over time. I thought you were joking about it.People buy Microsoft consoles to play Microsoft games such as Halo. People buy Nintendo consoles to play Nintendo games such as Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong. What franchises does Sony have that are valuable to them as a company? Someone's going to go: "but they have Uncharted, Infamous, Killzone" those aren't it and they were franchises that were just created.

A realistic racing game is their number one franchise, that alone should tell you about their audience. Also Halo 4, a game that came out two years later, is about to pass GT5.[QUOTE="Obviously_Right"][QUOTE="Samus3D"]

[QUOTE="ImBatman-"]I like how you say 2/3 as if it was a good thing. Because we have to be reminded of the dramatic fall from grace this/last generation.MS is 0/2. Just saying. Here's how thing will go down: Casuals will be split between Wii, Wii U, PS4, nextbox. Core gamers will go either PS4 or PC. PS4 wins, Sony gets 1st place like they have in 2/3 generations so far.

Unlike the other companies, Sony doesn't just give gamers the same franchise every time. They know gamers like quality, quantity, and variety. Thank you Sony. Sony don't make new IP's, they make IP's. Making new IP's would mean you already had some that stuck and are valuable to you as a company, like your Mario's, your Pokemon's, and your Zelda's. The Sony guys are such cockriders they wanna make their exclusives on the level of Nintendo's. Nintendo got the best exclusives in the world, that's a fact, that's not a opinion, that's nothing to even talk about. Just because Sony keeps making sequels to games that flop or games that they have to bundle in order for it to actually look like it sold over 4 million copies like all of their series. Please Log In to post.
