@killzowned24: at 1200p ultra the PS4/XB1 would be lucky to get 10fps. You try harder.

Just a little ditty about a PS4 you don't know so well.
In one hand you will have people trying to play numbers (1080p,60fps, 50% more power)
On the other hand you will have games running great and looking fantastic, getting the best next gen experience.
Which hand are you in?
Considering that Killzone SF look way better than Ghost by a land slide, while been 1080p and running at 40 to 45 FPS single player something tell me it is Activision the problem.
Funny enough that i know only 1 game is 900p the rest are 1080p and not a single one is 720p,compare that to the xbox one which has a barrage of 720p games.
all you cows can do is supply rumors from "ex friends of ex lovers" I hope you don't go through your daily life like this.
My god what a powerful own that was, your damage control is out of this world, lets see you accuse cows of posting rumors, but you your self post a link to a questionable site reporting frame issues on the PS4 version of Ghost..lol
So yeah you were owned and the xbox one also has frame problems even that runs at half the resolution the PS4 one runs..lol
Looks like the PS4 will look better, but the XB1 version will play better. I guess 1080P isn't everything it's cracked up to be. I wonder if games like WatchDogs, ACIV & Destiny will have similar issues?
XB1 version is using Microsoft 10 week old Devkit engines, so I'm not surprised it stuttering and frames are dropping. CoD sucks anyways. I can't believe people are still playing that crap from Activision. The real Infinity Ward team is making Titanfall. The original members all left and went to Respawn.
Hahahahaa..............
You poor desperate soul..
Rubin say they had the kits for a long time and that lack of effort wasn't the problem, the xbox one is simple to weak and ESRAM is not enough for 1080p with certain accepts, reason why what all FPS are confirm to be 720p.?
BF4 720p.
Ghost 720p.
Titanfall 720p (confirmed by Rubin lol)
Destiny still unconfirmed.
But rumors point and the PS4 version been the definitive version that may as well be another 720p case.
You just can't find any more excuses to justify the xbox one short comings.
@killzowned24: at 1200p ultra the PS4/XB1 would be lucky to get 10fps. You try harder.
check your math. 1920x1080 has over 150,000 more pixels.
just wondering... couldn't a 720p version of a game have better textures and a higher detail level, because they are saving power with lowering the resolution? i mean maybe they were just looking what turns out better, higher resolution or better textures with lower upscaled resolution. i'm just wondering because i think in the graphic comparison videos between the ps4 and x, both versions look kind of great in their own way.
LOL it's a slideshow already at 720p. How embarrassing and it's running almost at the same res as the 360 version.
This is a sort of pointless topic.
ALL games have to make "sacrifices" to run at higher resolutions/frame rate as a console has a finite amount of processing power.
Ryse on XB1 was no different. The game was running at 1080p originally, but they decided it was better to reduce resolution to 900p and use better lighting techniques instead. It's up the the developer to decide how and where to allocate a system's resources.
this is why i decided to finally abandon the playstation brand. sony has no problem sacrificing important runtime efficiency just to add a couple more pixels.

So, what you're saying is...
You've cancelled your PS4 preorder, Karateechop?
for the 1000th time, lol troll.

Don't follow yor logic here. You're implying that the more powerful machine won't run as well as the less powerful machine. Why would the games run "great" and look "fantastic" on One and not the other? Regardless, if they run the same, one machine is $100 cheaper.
This is the stupidest fvcking thread...
Thank god I've been spending less and less time here, having too much fun with POE.
CoD: Ghost is running on an ancient graphics engine. Newer game engines should take better advantage of next gen console hardware.
lol, that was actually an awesome response
I worry for cows when devs start to sacrifice resolution in order to get more out of the hardware. Because upscaled 720p is still more than acceptable today, whether cows admit it or not.
Now I can see it so clearly now. Lems know sweet eff all about how things work. That's how they can Lem.
well, the PS4 numbers aren't such an issue for me, however they do sway cows, and cows are out in mass trying to sway popular opinion, and popular opinion sets market trends, and market trends make developers choose which system they launch exclusives on, and access to those games is what I care about more, so i may get a PS4 seeing how post launch sales trends go and what we hear from developers and what system their making games on
on the other hand, MS had a really good interface last gen, party chatting and friends sending invites made access to MP easy, and the easy of switching between gaming and TV and apps looks really smooth, and that appeals to me
guess I'll wait and see what happens, if one product has a problem catching fire off the bat and burning peoples living rooms down then I guess the choice will be easy
It is well-known that the XBone has stuttering frames even at 720p. Why the shit do you want this ownage again?

Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from nasty frame rate issue, according to Jeremy Conrad.
Conrad further went on to add that FPS drops from 60 to 50 FPS and is reason to not buy it (PS the 720p game has worse drops)
For those who are unaware of who this Jeremy Conrad is, "Former IGN Editor".
This means that not only
Playstation 4 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts suffers from frame rate issues
but Xbox One version as well even though it runs at lower resolution of 720p.
In another news, Infinity Ward's Mark Rubin in a recent interview to Metro stated that Call of Duty: Ghosts on Xbox One and PS4 are identical to each other apart from resolutions at which it runs on both consoles i.e 720p and 1080p.[/quote]

Another bs thread by desperate lems debunked
I'm wondering what will happen a few years down the track. Developers are ALREADY hitting walls before the console has even released, and it's not like the PS4 has foreign architecture, it's basically a dedicated PC (in terms of ease of development/x86) therefore there is no real power to 'tap into' in the future.
no, actually it was nothing like that.
Pretty stupid and desperate comparison you are trying to grasp there sean, must be your inner lem hanging out. No playstation fans ever denied PS3 was difficult to develop but it did pretty much everything it was supposed to do.
Gears of War was the only unanimously praised graphical powerhouse on xbox360 being relased in 2006 a full year after it launched (when playstaton had only been on the market for a whole 2 months) but after Uncharted Drakes Fortunate released on PS3 in 2007 it was from then on recognized as the console with the the best and more impressive technical graphics in the industry.
Stop being so quick to defend your fellow xboxt crew sean, you make posts like the one you just did when you do...maybe you are still suffering for the third stage of xboxone grief.
Why are so many of you so uneducated about games that it makes me lose faith in humanity...
First: The X1 has not been reviewed yet or talked about yet. 720p was made so it could run the entire game without being a complete slideshow. Second, there is no source of it running at a perfect 60fps. Also, no game runs at a perfect 60fps or 30fps for others, ALL GAMES DIP, ALL GAMES will have points where they dip down.
Second: The framerate issues they are talking about are at odd instances, checkpoints/loading areas. One area mentioned that in MP heavy sequences it slowed down on the PS3 and PS4. Plus PC players are reporting similar issues.
Now if you realize that the engine is designed for xbox 360 and then ported to everything else, you can start to see the source of the problem. Their engine best fits the 360's CPU and this had to do with their coding. The PS3's CPU is more powerful but more complicated, a PC cpu again more powerful but a different architecture than the 360 cpu. Next you have next gen which the PS4 and X1 share the same base CPU, a 8 core jaguar cpu. So if my theories are correct, then the X1 is going to suffer the same issues as the PS3,PS4 and PC.
Pretty much, their engine is designed for the triple core 360 cpu, which is clocked in at 3.2 ghz. The 8 core in the PS4/X1 run at 1.75 for X1 and Unknown for PS4 (probably in the same ballpark), the strength is that it's the 8 cores working together that make it stronger. So say IW has not done much much with it and it's actually only using 3 cores of the Jaguar CPU and not it's full 8. When the CPU gets tied up like that, thats what creates the "Spikes" in FPS. The GPU just calculates the graphics, so if under graphic heavy situations it's running fine and it's in multiple players, or loading or saving of some sort, that's CPU bound.
In the end, a patch can fix this on any platform if IW decides to work on how the CPU handles the game engine. But stop with the whole just because it's 720p it runs at a flawless 60fps. This would be the case if it was only the PS4 version suffering these FPS issues, but the fact the PC and PS3 are suffering them too points to my theory of being poorly optimized for any CPU other than the 360's. I am curious to hear about the Wii-Us performance too once that releases. Betting it has the same FPS trouble due to the lower clock speeds of the CPU.
except the ps3 has been winning console graphics king for the last 3 or 4 years sooo... no
I can already tell that in the future with the so called ''amazing 1020p'' Playstation has will make the PS4 heat faster and games lag in future when graphics get better throughout years to come. (the human eye can bearlly tell the difference from 720p to 1020p)
On fixed hardware, developers have to make sacrifices all the time. This is nothing new. And it's true for all consoles. This thread is beyond stupid.

CoD:Ghost PC version has NVIDIA's "HBAO+".

just because they add something new.....................doesn't make it new. Piss poor effort by the devs on this one. Its the new Madden. Pay $60 for a updated roster.
PC version has "high-precision NVIDIA HBAO+ Ambient Occlusion".. Not quite apples vs orange comparison.
"The PlayStation 4 version... has noticeable technical issues, sometimes slowing to a crawl, particularly during set-piece moments with multiple effects," said Joystiq.
Ouch... CoD and ps4 sux
Same problems the xbox one has even when nothing is happening on screen at 720p. Even the PC version has huge problems.
So Yeah Activision for you.

They are fake troll articles that you are reading on the X1. Notice how the one site put this news up after the PS4 news broke. Sony Damage Control. If you actually know how to use a search engine there are plenty of reports that the X1 version is running smooth as glass.
As usual, every game is different and developers who spend more time with one console will have a better game all around. Killzone, for example, will look and play better than BF4 and CoD. It's just a fact.

That's not fact, it's subjective.
I was gonna make a thread on th following but we've been inundated with resolution threads.
Um... When I watched the side by side at Ign of ghosts on ps4 and XBone, the XBone version looked noticeably better... Why is that? Everything looked more vibrant and the textures looked better.
@tormentos: why would joystick go out of their way to only mention ps4 and not the other platforms then? Hmm. Guess we'll find out soon when those reviews start popping.
The xbox one platform hasn't been mention in many games, take AC4 for example even a review for it came out for PS4,PS3 and xbox 360,no mention what so ever of the xbox one version, and they talk about a few frames drop on the PS4 version to,just because they are not been mention doesn't mean they are not there, and former IGN employee who is reviewing now, talked about the xbox one version also having frame drops.
Even the PC version has them and we all know on PC that game should have no problems.

Thank you. There are more and more people starting to see things for what they are. There are open people on here and blind people. Eurogamer and DF can say what they want. I saw what you saw.
