PS4 making "sacrifices" to run 1080p

Of course the cows have to play numbers game. Just look at the games. Forza, Dead Rising and Ryse look infinitely better than anything on the PS4. PS4 has to sacrifice polygons , environmental details, not to mention horrible animations. Cows need to use their eyes and really see what's going in here. Where is the 50 percent more powerful easy to develop for games?

Bottom line if you like the games for the PS4 buy one, if you like the games and experience you get with MS and Xbox get one and if you can get both than get both,

This has nothing to do with the PS4 or any console, it's the fault of I.W. and activision just being a lazy developer cause it's having problems on all consoles. They could release this on the gameboy and it would have frame rate drops cause clearly it's a rush product that they didn't even take the time to fully finish.. Activision is just the worse.

No i don't Forza is an uninpressive game with last gen baked effects,in nothing is impressive,Ryse make Uncharted look open world,and Dead rising has neverrrrrrrrrr eveeeeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr been more than an average looking 85 game,hell the last one was 79 even worse.

So yeah the biggest launch game probably this holiday is Killzone SF by a land slide,i dare say one of the only few games that really show what next gen is about..

The OP article states the exact oposite saying that the X1 has perfect 60fps at 720p.

Kinda sounds like this gen is giong to be a 720p @ 60fps vs 1080p @ sort of 60fps type of generation. Guess we'll see with the next generation of games in a year.

If you just sat down and played a game and it looked amazing and played smooth..................would it bother you if they told you it was 720p and you couldn't tell the difference? Not me. looking good is looking good.

Developers always make sacrifices to console games. I said this in a Killzone thread about the shit IQ the game has and the lack of detail in anything but enclosed spaces. Corners are cut, graphical settings are tweaked, objects and assests may be reduced or even omitted completely in order to maintain a target frame rate. Console peasant kiddies mistake it for the fabled "optimisation" they think is so amazing on consoles. That and the "unlocked potential."

In May TLOU came out, its 720p and was heralded as the best game of this past gen, and some said of all time. 5 months later, its a blurry, unplayable mess. ROFFL! I always play FPS on PC. I console for console games (and BluRay player). I just like pounding on the XBox because MS needs to stick to what they're good at.

Last I heard, Ghosts is having problems on all systems.

But it's just not acceptable for NEXT-GEN consoles. It's fine for current-gen consoles because not many people had a Full-HD tv in the day. The Xbone has weaker hardware because of Kinect.

Who says its not acceptable? And if so, then PS4, which doesn't hit 1080p in BF4 must be unacceptable as well. But I know you get to pick and choose with your logic. I know people love this "standards" thing. I am glad I don't subscribe to it. All it does is limit my potential gaming experiences.

framerate issues happen over the entire screen, not just the gun. This was the user doing this with the controller or a bug. Definitely not framerate.

The framerate tanking to single digits when there's nothing happening on screen? That's exactly what framerate issues are.

That gif is weak sauce. Even in the article, they say the drop isn't noticeable unless you are really looking for it. That's NOT what people are saying about the PS4 version.

Ryse and Dead Rising 3 do not look like better games than Killzone Shadow and the sales show it. Forza is racing game with a limited audience.

It's really a shame that none of the new consoles can effortlessly achieve 1080p @ 60 fps. Despite $400-500 PC's probably being capable of it for at least a few years now.
