Since PS4 is the only console game that can achieve 1080P constantly, it's pretty much the same level as PC, as the master race, looking down on gaming peasants like Xbone and Wii U

PCs are now doing (have been doing) 1080+p (like 1440) for years man.
That on multiple screens and in 3D as well. Although I am happy where the PS4 is, that price being comparable to running most multiplats on the PC equivalent of High settings makes the decision between either even harder for me.
Congratulations. After nearly a decade of PCs being able to do it, a console is able to do 1080p.
Maybe in another fifteen years you can do 1080p and 60 frames per second! That'd be somethin'.
c'mon PC-ers, you should be welcoming the new master race member to the club
The master race, by default, wouldn't accept lesser beings. Cows are a lesser being.
nope, we're not. we're joining master race club
By being behind? Well done, you caught up to their adolescents.
lol this thread backfired spectacularly
This guy is actually sad,he is emotionally attached to a plastic object LMAO.

Its doing it right now, and No the pc hasn't been hitting 1080p for nearly a decade unless you wanna count PS2 graphics.
Cows are last on my invite list to the Master Race Ball
They're below Apple fans, and those people that think 'yellow mustard' is for lesser beings.
I will literally let those people into the party first, and I will put a bottle of French's on the banquet table just to spite them.
That's how low Cows are.
PS4 is 2-3 years behind PC. Xbone is 5 years behind pc. WiiU is 10 years behind PC. The story of life all delivered by me.
Don't know how many times I have to say it but 1080p has little to no benefit on a console.
PC gamers are hunched over a desk enjoying every last detail. In a console environment as well as a PC hooked up to the living room HDTV, you cannot see this detail at a logical viewing distance.

It's a benefit to some people
So I guess you agree that the PC is at the highest level, and it is something consoles aspire to be.
Peasant.
@Murderstyle75:
Umm you're flat out wrong. U can see the same details sitting 8 ft away from a 60" 1080p will resolve the same detail as sitting 3 ft away from a 23" 1080p monitor.
Only thing is the monitor will have shit motion resolution, shit contrast, and a shit sound stage for audio

When you have to use words like "pretty much" then its definitely not master race. Besides, 1080 is so last gen for PC, i already run my games at 2k and once I add in some newer video cards in a year or two I will run them at 4k res, which we know ps4 and x1 both can't do anywhere close to the same level (if at all) as PC.
Hell, my BF4 is maxed out at 2560x1440 and it puts the ps4 version to shame... to SHAME!
@lostrib:
The only people it benifits are people with very large sets which is not most people.
Even on a 50 inch set, 1080p vs. 720p doesn't become apparent until closer than 9.8 feet and becomes full apparent at 6.5 feet. 6.5 feet is closer than most people will sit to their 50 HDTV (even through the THX recommended viewing distance for a 50″ screen is 5.6 ft). So, most consumers will not be able to see the full benefit of their 1080p TV.
On other words. Most console gamers who bought into 1080p and demand 1080p games pretty much wasted their money.

Or people who sit close to their screen
Ironic considering Wii U has more games running at 1080p 60fps than the PS4 and Xbone.. but ofc the fanbois will damage control

Why would you not count PS2 graphics.. What were you playing 10 years ago? PS2 derp
@lostrib:
Most do not however meaning it only benefits a minority of people. My 12 year old sure does though. Is that how people really view their 40 and 50 inch sets? Like a middle schooler? There's really no point going that big if you are only going to sit a few feet away. In a logical viewing environment, 1080p is nothing more than a marketing gimmick when it comes to HDTV owners. Its going to get even more ridiculous when TV manufacturers try and push 4k on 30 to 60 inch sets.
I was running games at 1600x1200 (8% less than 1080p) with 60FPS back in the early 2000s. Are consoles really bragging about getting a tad higher resolution on SOME games with half the FPS 11-13 years later ? (lol)
Almost, but not quite.
It is the better value when it comes to hardware. For $400, that's a good value although PC has cheaper games, better video cards, and can play from 1080p-4k natively.
ps4 gpu is actually pretty powerful in comparison to titan
plus it can optimize its games better.....
R9 290X is comparable to Titan and it has AMD Mantle i.e. "console like APIs" for PCs equipped with GCN.
