PS4's holiday season looks dismal

@kuu2: I'd rather play a great JRPG, strategy game and warriors game over another Halo and a stolen TR any day.

Neither the last 2 Halo or Forza games have score 9+ on Meta that should tell you something..

And the last gears didn't score 9 either.

The franchises are beat by MS over exploiting they even turn Forza into a COD kind of game,FH one year regular Forza on the other is pathetic.

What the fu** is a gears remake or Halo remake if it isn't cross gen.? Hell those are ports on old games i hope they aren't shit and broken as Halo MCC i remember how Gears 1 and 2 sucked badly online because of the bullet lag,host advantage issues and all that crap that plague the game,Gears had a horrible code online.

Not only that....there really is no reason to bash as if everyone who owns a PS4 is sitting on it 18 hours a day finishing every game that comes out 3 days after release and as if the overall experience isn't fun.

The PS4's holiday is pretty weak, garbage even. But, I'm not looking at More Halo and more Tomb Raider as some all star lineup. Ditto for what the WiiU is offering, at the least the PS4 might get Persona 5 this holiday.

Or the PS4 is overhyped like it's something special, where as it's actually in the same position as the other two.

Not only is it fair, but like the others it's a good thing. We should demand more from developers and publishers to give us good reasons to own these consoles.

So far they've only delivered multiplats apart from the Wii U. This is not on. For the money they ask for these consoles, we deserve a good reason to own them. So far this gen is like being in a political election, where we are sold on broken promises and potential and we get the odd exclusive. I don't give a shit what the situation is with publishers and developers, it's not our problem, bring the exclusives or piss off. We barely even get console exclusives anymore. It's a sad situation.

The X1 and Wii U get the shit kicked out of them on the regular and the PS4 is not above this. All of them need to bring a lot more to the table as far as I'm concerned. There used to be tons of exclusives on consoles, now everything is full on multiplat.

Not for me. I've been buried in PS4 games since the system came out. I got more trophies this gen then the entire previous one.

I also got my first platinum and subsequent one.

With over 350+ games to play, there's games for everyone to play by golly.

Jack Tretton even admitted that he wished he had Halo as part of PlayStation. They are great games when they are executed properly. If Halo 5 recaptures the Halo trilogy's magic, I'd be genuinely stoked.

lol gears isn't coming out this holiday season goof ball unless you are talking about the remaster lol, and in that case Sony has GOW, Uncharted remasters which I equally don't consider legitimate titles to count for holiday season prospects.

As for my tastes, X1 has the better holiday lineup right now because it has Tomb Raider coming. PS4 really has nothing announced right now for the holiday season that I'm excited for. An Uncharted series remaster would definitely help, but I already have all the games.

Maybe by the time black Friday hits, I can buy AC Syndicate or MGS 5 for $30 to tide me over till 2016.

True that. I enjoy my current gen systems, but aside from Bloodborne and Shadow of Mordor, nothing has really wowed me this gen.

@Big_Pecks: Well compared to KillzoneTheOrderDriveclub, HaloGearsForza really is the holy trinity.. as far as fun factor and overall quality are concerned.

You might want to hold off on buying that too if your primary console is the PS4. You even said you have enough games to play. I guess you could buy on the 'bone then get it again on PS4.
