PSN is now better. Not equal. PSN has:
1) the best multiplayer graphics.
2) best multiplayer sounds.
3) best way to create and share user generated contents.
4) Most relaxing/soothing game.
5) Most fair multiplayer cometition--no host advantage as in LIVE.
6) largest multiplayer HD battles.
7) I can go on.
The point is the bells and whistles of LIVE don't equal the advantages of PSN. Remember LIVE is limited by Xbox 360's inferior hardware.
joke post confirmed. Live > PSN. 360 inferior hardware? It just happens to still get superior multiplats like RE5...........what does that say about ur future proof  PS3? It's not a joke. You have to deal with the fact that LIVE is limited by Xbox 360's hardware, which is inferior to the PS3's. Those multiplats that look better than the PS3 versions, the differences are very, very small--most reviewers will tell you that you can't even see them until you look very, very closely. The very minor differences are only because developers use the 360 as the main platform and then port it to the PS3. If they start with the PS3, then it would be a different story. The thing is you are changing the subject...we are talking about LIVE vs. PSN. PSN is the place for best looking, best sounding, etc. contents. PSN is not only free, it's better. And live is not limited by hardware, but there's more focus on smaller game types. I can't remember the last time i really enjoyed a game with more then 16 people. It just turns into a cluster f***. But then again I came from a pc where I could easily play with 64. And by the way, If I can find it again, I read an article about how psn likely will never have cross-game chat since the OS takes up too much resources so they have to leave it up to the developer to leave room for a feature like that, which makes the game worse. And its funny since after they put out NXE micosoft said they still had resources reserved they could use to add even more features without taking anyhting away from the developers.[QUOTE="patriots7672"][QUOTE="Ibacai"] There's cross game voice chat now? Uhhhh, I didn't see that in the update, just the text chat.GeneralMLD
There's in-game video and voice chat, but it's not cross game.
In game chat just now? wow i didnt know how gimped PSN was until now. Thats something 360 had day 1 that was really useful. dude, the original Xbox had in game chat... PSN just caught up with last gen console online. :lol:no, but the best online service ANY console has to date is well worth the money considering we don't get minor updates that slowly catch up to what the other console has had for over 3 years is well worth my money. Besides, I can't believe people would even think of complaining over only $4.17 a month. Seriously, are you really that cheap?lol so in game chat is worth 50 per year??

I can't believe people still talk about the notion of a ps3 "future proof"... LOLOLOLOL A 360 is not future proof either but I just don't hear this that much from the other side...Hardware for videogames is never future proof, it only gets older... The xenon and the rsx are quite old pc graphics cards these days... and by the way, xenon is better... why am i reading this in a psn xbox live debate anyway?
Well that one is easy, got both consoles, and xbox live is better... don't think many people owning both consoles will disagree with me :)
