Its Optional so get over it. if you dont want to pay dont pay. its simple really. im a PSN+ memeber and so far everything they offered were stuff i already own but im hoping for more improvments to come. besides they have just started. with Xbox360 you must pay to play online while PSN dont :). playing all games online for free, kthxbyeruthless12On a pretty lame online system IMO. The more I use PSN the more I dislike it, it feels very incomplete and a total knee-jerk reaction to the multiple successes of Xbox LIVE. Sony should overhaul the entire system next gen.

lol, idk why so many people complain i think its fine for something that is offered for free and it runs so smoothly, so many people complain of disconnections / sslow updates and slow demo downloads with their 56k download speeds
opinions opinions tc, this thread is full of em :P im not planning on getting psn plus but some of the content that you can get with psn pluss does seem worth while

The PSN chatrooms are annoying and something I dont really feel that I should be checking every 2 minutes during an SP game because Sony can't get cross-game chat done. Also proper cross-game invites - PSN invitation system is really annoying IMO. And yes the mic would be nice :D

hey why don't you do what i do, don't buy it, jeez what are you arguing about here its optional and in no way affects your gaming its a nice little service for people who wants it. I'll jump aboard when theres content i'm interested in but its always nice to have the option there

What exactly are you paying for? Autormatic downloads?! This has to be the most useless paid service I have EVER seen. Most of the "freebies" are crap and either stuff most people already have or most people wouldn't touch with a barge pole. PSN is a fairly poorly integrated system when compared to Xbox LIVE and they don't even bother addressing the actual issues people have with it, or features is desperately needs. Auto downloads still has my head shaking... CuteCakes
I got PSN+ and so far everything they have given out is new to me. And whilethe majority of the stuff, so far, is stuff I wouldn't have bought before,I will admit that i've enjoyed Wipeout HD lately as well as most of the mini games they've released so far. I like the idea of the 1 hour demo's from full games, but there hasn't yet been a demo that has interested me enough to download.
And also, Ivastly prefer the automatic downloads occuring when I'm sleeping then being bombarded with updated when I try to playsome game or something. And I'm also really been enjoying Qore now that I get it as part of PSN+. It has some good news, videos and it's own brand of free stuff as well.
So far, for me, it's been a great value. The question will be whether or not, after time is up, will I really care that much to keep subscribing.
The good games are a fair bit cheaper but if you were even half interested in buying some of the DD games then you'd pay the miserable £7 and get on with it so i can see where your coming from but if your serious about DD then it is really money well spent.

How big are the full-game demos? Seen as you're just playing the first hour or a game, isn't it usually the tutorial? God forbid FFXIII ever got one.. :P My XBL traffic is unmetered so I can download whatever I want without worrying about hitting my monthly cap, PS3 traffic however is not (unfortunately). Also don't get Qore where I live :( Glad you like it though. What exactly are you paying for? Autormatic downloads?! This has to be the most useless paid service I have EVER seen. For games which are not free any where regarless of you thinking if they are worht it or not, also from were you get the idea that almost every one has all the games offered on PSN +,dude most of the game on PSN don't pass 1 million download from what i know, that leaves what 36 million PS3 owners who don't own every single PSN + game offered, without actual number you are assuming dude.
Also PSN is great regardless of what you may think about its integration,it gets the job done and without having to pay a yearly fee,by the way what issues does PSN had.?

There is no such thing as an uncapped ISP in Australia.. :DThe value more than makes up for it. You get free themes, free avatars, discounts on many store items, early access to betas, automatic downloading, and even full games for free. Even after just one month, I've already gotten my money's worth out of it, albeit I wouldn't have bought every single game without Plus but it still is a very, very good deal that pays for itself over, even if you only buy a small percentage of things. . If you don't like it, don't buy it, it's optional...
Its crap and worthless.......but i hope they keep it that way.
I soon expect us normal users to start losing features and not getting what we would have got originally. Ill just enjoy it while it lasts.
CuteCakes, i'm sorry, but not 70 posts in and it's all too obvious that you're a Lemming.
100% of your posts are either pertaining to praise (or defense) of something Xbox 360 oriented, or bashing on something PS3 related.

HelloMoto56
don't care really, if you want it you can pick up change you see in the street to cover the cost. what is it if you break it down? 15 cents a day?
its OPTIONAL
HailedJohnDman
Here's the flaw in this argument: Because it's optional, it's a waste of money. If it was necessary, it wouldn't be.

Funny, no one I know has any problems with the psn unless they're an xbot. But they don't actually want any "improvements" to it, 'cause then they wouldn't have anything to ***** about.
You should probably not buy a service that you don't need to play your games if you don't feel it's worth it. The better question is, if you could play online with live silver, would the 50 bucks a year be worth it for its "features?"

i have had xbl for 6 years now and if it meant even one thing changed about it to go to a free service i would continue to pay the $50 a year.just like i said about ps+ $50 breaks down to next to nothing compared to all the rest of the stuff i have to pay for.
i feel it has value if you don't that's cool too. i'm more ticked about paying taxes to continue to live in a house i already paid for and a car i own that the petty annoyance that the xbl fee is.
as i have said a hundred times on here once you get a taste of the daily rip-off the real world is paying the chump change that xbl and ps+ is nothing to you.
for real dude the water filter in my fridge is $55 and i have to buy one every other month add to that 2 dozen other things i pay for that bug me and you see how paltry xbl and ps+ is to most people.
i could go on forever with the list, blue buffalo dog food is $50 a bag and i go through at least two of those a month also.
can you begin to see what xbl and ps+ fees look like in comparason?

I feel you man, I'm 28 (and a smoker as well, figured I'd mention it after reading your sig), but I find these things aren't all in the same category of rip off. Property taxes mostly go to the public schools in the area (which don't do that great of a job in most places), your filters for your fridge (which I used to sell by the way) filter your water. Your dog eats the food.
Actually, it's because of all these real world expenses I find paying for anything I shouldn't is so pointless. XBL is a service charging you for what everyone else is getting for free. Whether or not you feel it's worth the cost doesn't change the fact that there is something fundamentally wrong with paying for a p2p gaming network, where one of your other expenses, the internet access you pay for, is doing all the heavy lifting.
