@daniel_su123: You did imply that with your rant about them becoming more successful than PSVR, Vive, Oculus, etc. You're implying that these yet to be released devices are the future and will be cheaper and better than the already released devices, and the sad thing is that they haven't even released yet for regular consumers. We have no idea of what games they'll be getting or what partnerships MS plans to have with game devs to push them. Yet here you are hyping the shit out of them like a delusional clown. At least wait for E3 to see what type of support they will be getting before going on like a nutcase. Having a consistent API means nothing if they don't get games people actually want to play. They could just end up being flops like Kinect 2.0 on Xbone for all we know. When these VR headsets actually release you can start talking shit but your rants in this thread are utterly meaningless at this point in time.
@reduc_ab_:
I'm talking about exactly what I said.
It needs more games like resident evil.
Sorry if that upsets you.
I'm not against psvr or VR in general but VR needs more games like that.
I actually think it selling 1 million is quite good but you automatically assume I hate Sony.
I own 2 ps4's. Instead of jumping on people with assumptions you can ask what I meant and I'd talk about it more.
From 2.5 million predicted to sell at launch to creeping past 1 million in 6 months.
Don't really know if 'soaring' would be a good description.
With a potential 60 million install base that seems more like 'sputtering', 'limping' or a 'slow drip' maybe?
Once again, you bring up a quote that was never made by Sony.
From your article that you posted NOT MADE BY SONY:
"as a new report by market research firm SuperData has revealed that 375,000 PSVR units were sold during the Q1 2017"
So Superdata is wrong when it's negative Sony, and right when it is positive Sony? Oh you....
LMAO talk about absolutely REKT
TCHBO
@lrdfancypants: Then I apologize. You are right, I should not have assumed such things about you. Please forgive me, friend.
@kingbutthurt: I see your time off from SW wasn't long enough seeing your new Sony induced meltdown in this thread. I thought you would take a longer vacation from this place after Wasdie completely destroyed you in the last Sony thread. ? I guess they don't call you the Meltdown King of SW for nothing.
Look at you melting down as usual. Can't handle the fact that a peripheral selling only 1M in 6-8 months on a system with 60M+ is sales flop thus far. It seems to be causing you immense pain. Face it quack, 1M at this point is nothing but 1M people wasting money. It's going to need to sell 20x that for serious support from Sony much less 3rd party devs. I'm laughing at you quack LOLOLOLOL you pathetic cow
I also see your Scorpio fear is in full effect. Don't worry quack, that fear will go away......once you buy a Scorpio.
@Xabiss: Name a single console peripheral that is as expensive as the PSVR and has done as well as it has in the same amount of time. Go ahead, take your time. I'll wait.
@kingtito: He's got a point, dude. The only person who has a worse meltdown record than you is Nyadc.

Stop using the price as a crutch cow. Price means absolutely shit to the devs making games based on that peripheral. All they care about is the user base and 1 million isn't shit to them.
So name 1 peripheral that sold less than 10% of it's console user base and was full supported by both the parent company AND 3rd party devs?
@kingtito: He's got a point, dude. The only person who has a worse meltdown record than you is Nyadc.
? Nyadc is with us no more (bless his heart) so Kingbutthurt is officially the meltdown king of SW.

Just glad to see Scorpio is only needing to sell a little over a million in 7 months to be a success according you fanboys! I know for a fact if Microsoft sold anything at 1 million units in 7 months you cows would be having a field day. That is why fanboys in general are just bad for gaming period!
@Xabiss: Console =/= Peripheral
You claim another people are fanboys yet you're too stupid to realize that you can't compare console sales to a peripheral's sales directly because the peripheral also requires a console that costs $300-400 to use whereas a console only needs itself. The combined cost of a PS4 and PSVR is $700 at minimum. There's no way the Flopio will come anywhere close to that price point.

Well you will not need a Scorpio to play Xbox One games either? People buying PSVR already have the PS4, I seriously doubt many people go out and buy both units at the same time, even though I will admit I do know someone who did it for that Star Trek Bridge game only.
@Xabiss: That is the most idiotic comment I've ever seen on SW. You do realize most of the people buying Flopio will be existing Xbone owners that can easily trade their Xbones to afford paying for the Flopio, PSVR owners can't afford that luxury. You need a PS4 to play with PSVR. That's one of the main reasons why peripheral sales never come close to matching console sales.

I can look at shit however I want, you opinion means absolute shit to me. ;)
@Xabiss: ? Fine, continue to be a dumbass. You're only making lems like yourself look more stupid than they already are.
@Xabiss: ? Fine, continue to be a dumbass. You're only making lems like yourself look more stupid than they already are.
Far from a lemming you dumb ass, I game more on my PS4 Pro right now then my Xbox. So who is the dumbass right now? I am a gamer, that loves all companies and want them all to be successful.
@Xabiss: ? Of course you game more on your PS4 lem, Xbone has no games.
Right now it does, but there are some games I am looking forward to on Xbox. I will also be purchasing a Scorpio when it is released. Right now I buy 3rd party games on the PS4 Pro because they look better and sometimes perform better. That will change most likely when Scorpio comes out. Most of my 3rd parties will be on that system and I will just play the exclusives on PS4 Pro. It is so nice not to be a fanboy and can enjoy all systems for what they are.
Some of you people are sad...lmfao
As for VR, kudos to Sony I guess? Haven't been interested in any of the VR stuff...
Lol lems are just stupid. They think a 400 dollar add on selling this much is a failure? What 400 dollar add on did xbox have that did better? Ill wait.........
VR... just no. Still 10-20 years away from a truly great experience..
Nah, man. It's legitimately good right now. I've had a lot of fun with VR so far. In a way, I like the way things are in this raw and early stage because it makes developers more experimental with gameplay. In 10-20 years, things will be formulaic. Which, I mean, is a good thing in its own way but the gamer in me welcomes the newer challenges however they come.
Not trying to change your mind or say you're wrong or anything like that. Just stating that there is plenty of joy to be found already with VR.
@kingtito: Still can't do it, I see. Still melting down, I see.
Hahaha you cows are so predictable. You keep clinging to that "it's soooo expensive" while the devs look at the piss poor sales of a peripheral. Let's see how much they care about the price at that point.
Go cry in the corner until the big bad lems stop being mean to you

LOL cows are just stupid. They think a peripheral selling ONLY 1M 6-8 months for a system with 60M is actually good. What are devs going to say when it comes time to make games exclusively for VR of the AAA variety?
What you dumb cows are willfully forgetting is the amount of sales for a peripheral is what matters the most not the cost of it. Game devs don't get a dime of that PSVR sale and will only make money off the games. You think they're going to look at those poor sales and want to make VR games?
Sorry cows but price or not the sales of that peripheral are piss poor at this point.

According to metacritic, there is nothing good to be found with PSVR.

Metacritic probably hasn't figured out how to grade VR games. It would be like asking them to rate books or movies. It's a different experience in a lot of ways and people react to things outside of their own experience with trepidation and prejudice.

Assuming you are joking. Metacritic doesn't review games. Games sites review games, including PSVR games. Metacritic just does the average scores for us. VR is DOA.

Yep. VR is truly an entirely new way to experience games. There is literally nothing like it. From devs, to critics, to gamers themselves, there is a lot to get accustomed to. This is unexplored territory.
I'm really surprised by this. VR doesn ot have the technology or the software to be a worthy gaming peripheral but this has sold well enough for Sony to push ahead with it. Maybe 2018 will be a bigger year with better and more AAA games releasing on it.

You missed the point. Most game reviewers are probably reticent in reviewing VR games because they are either transposing criteria for reviews that do not translate to a VR gaming experience or they are simply not convinced by the experience they have in the first place so that they permanently handicap their score of the games. Either way, it's not the best way to judge the games. This is a new frontier for gaming and you can either treat it as such or flail helplessly hoping it goes away.
