Ace Combat Assault Horizon.

Only two gaming regrets. Rise of the Robots for the Sega Megadrive. Or what is it called in the US? Genesis? Anyway, it's the only game I ever traded in. I actually cried because it was so bad.
And Perfect Dark Zero. I got the Limited Edition for 7 Euro and still feel cheated.
F1 2015. I was so hyped for the true "next gen" F1 experience but the game was absolutely horrendous. Really Sh**ty wheel support (even worse than Pcars), removal of career mode (yes, you read that right), repeated crashes, Flying car glitches, Having to manually change your whole setup each race (even that doesn't work sometimes, it just glitches out to default), AI is completely fu**ed, Random downshifts to 2nd gear when getting out of the pits (which results in "engine damage") Unplayable multiplayer (when it works) with noob idiots ruining the experience with the glitched penalties that don't work even when deliberately corner cutting, crossing the white line, deliberately crashing into you, de-syncing, and whatnot, One of THE worst racing games I ever had the displeasure of gaming.. And somehow I got it day one at full price.
Literally, Codemasters completely dropped the ball on the F1 series..
This should tell you all you need to know:
MGS4 and Heavy Rain. They're both gathering dust. I can't stand the Six-Axis controls and that film grain in Heavy Rain. I just can't seem to get into MGS4. I actually found Watch Dogs far more interesting.
I still keep both around in case they both "click" with me.
Of course, I have no remorse whatsoever with Watch Dogs because it came free with my video card. I still have it installed.
I'm really awesome at not buying things I don't want, but sometimes I've payed for turds such as Hellgate: London. I also regret buying the Bayonetta 1&2 bundle for Wii U. I hear it might be worth something later though, so maybe it wasn't a complete waste. I don't regret any system that I've ever got. Loved em all.
How can anyone regret buying the amazing bayonetta 2 and getting part 1 free?
WiiU
Really is sad that I do too. It's the first time in my entire life I've regretted buying a console. Hell even the kids played the Wii and had a little fun with Wii sports, by the WiiU us beyond disappointing and will go down as one of the worst consoles in history and 100% my choice for what I have bought for sure.

Because I don't find them amazing? I tried them and failed to enjoy them. Very silly games, very messy, very QTE-y and cinematics freaking everywhere. Bleh.
Easily the ps4. It didn't break the bank but it doesn't even live up to the ps3 in terms of what it offers. Piss poor psn store, no psx disc playback, and some silly stream service.
I sold my Snes to buy the n64... An hour later I wanted my Snes back. Still do.
Destiny... Cant believe there isn't litigation pending on the product they shipped day 1. Bungie disappoints around every corner for me as a gamer.
Watchdogs... Day 1? Why? Why did I do that? I actually watched a closed screening of the game at comicon and started falling asleep during it... Yet I bought it day 1. Sigh.
Also the wii.... 3 months after purchase it was a virtual store machine for my old post Snes games.... The actual wii games were garbage.
YOU MONSTER! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT!!
@MonsieurX: it still burns bro... 40 carts along with it. I kept the n64 for a few months. No games other than Mario 64 and I sold it. Nintendo has never been the same for me.
Good news is I turned the n64 into my first guitar...and that guitar turned into a career... So it's like a bitter pill but it worked out.
@Epak_: if you're talking about the Vita definitely! I heard it's a great handheld for RPG games, so I would have a lot to play!
Recently: Wii-U. After Bayonetta 2, there was less and less reason in keeping it. Though I do wish I kept it long enough to try Splatoon and Mario Maker.
All-time? Far and away Devil May Cry 2. Even now I can't believe how much of a step down it was from the original, despite the gameplay yielding a couple of interesting ideas.
Hardware: 3DS. Then again I got the New model for $100, but when the hell am I gonna use this?
Game: Crysis 3. F*ck that game.
Ah man, I love that game.
-
Hardware, Xbox One. Massive waste of money from day one.
Game, I don't know, there have been many. I suppose the one I wanted to be good the most is Ace Combat Assault Horizon. At least for Arkham Origins, it gets good when you change your expectations and Arkham Knight gets good the more you put into it.

There are redeeming aspects to Crysis 3 (it's techincally jaw-dropping and its mechanics are great), but the MP was a mess and the narrative was a total trainwreck. It left me feeling particularly burned because I know Crytek can do better and thought Crysis 3 was going to be the game to elevate them to superstar status. Now I don't know if they'll ever get to that stage.
Several so no one is above the other, for example: Destiny, The Order, all the Crysis series ( hey it was on sale for like 5 bucks each and never cared to try before I purchased it ), Lost Planet 2, just to mention a few, I don´t regret purchasing any of the consoles, actually I regret I didn´t purchase the retro ones before.
I think the last purchase I actually regretted were some PS2/Xbox/Gamecube games I didn't like/didn't think were worth full price. (Grandia III, God of War, Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance, Pikmin) I don't sweat it so much anymore if a game doesn't live up to expectations since I have more money to spend on games, and have never regretted the 5 bucks on that Steam game I didn't like or sequel I didn't like as much as the previous title.
@Eikichi-Onizuka:
What you didn't like about God of War?
@unrealgunner:
You just hate the game or just the season pass?
@TheEroica: You didn't get the wrestling games for N64?
@Heirren: " no psx disc playback, and some silly stream service."
Wait, you didn't do research before buying?
@thehig1: "and a prop to keep the front door open when moving stuff into and out of the house"
lol, wtf?
I bought a brand new copy of 'The 3 Stooges' for NES in early 1990 for some inexplicable reason. As hard as I tried to get my money's worth out of that turd, fun was not forthcoming.
@PSP107:
The streaming was announced later. I didn't think the psn store would-be completely altered. Sony is surely trying to find a way to double dip on ps3. Psn purchases.
Every General Motors vehicle I've ever owned...
I'm also regretting a couple of stocks I've purchased...FreeportMcMoRan (FCX) notably. I wish I had sold when I had a tidy profit, but the stock missed my stop order by a little over $1 a share and has absolutely plummeted since (damn copper, gold, and oil prices!).
Where gaming is concerned, I only regret buying the Wii.
@davem1992: Only regrets I have is when I buy a game only to get home and find out I already had the game on the shelf. I'll take that CD-i and the Zeldas off your hands though! :)
Actually just the Zelda games, already have 2 CD-i consoles.
@unrealgunner:

The game doesn't work for me the framerates are unplayable doesn't matter what settings I use so I barely played it even after having the game for 6 months

Like **** you will, they're my little Zelda abominations

Console: None. I usually buy each console that releases, but often I'll wait till their are multiple games I want for it.
Game: I bought a game on 360 called Damnation, because I stupidly took the advice of someone working in the store. Without question the worst game I have ever played, and I've played a lot of bad games.

They're entirely mediocre and cost me £100 in total but they're my little babies and Zelda games never leave my side.
@davem1992: Items on CD-i are getting expensive these days too, I've been trying to find the game pad for one for a while now, people want $150 usd for a fucking controller! No, sorry, I'll pass. lol
@PSP107 I didn't dislike it, just preferred Devil May Cry 3 that came out recently and wished I spent my money on something else.
@davem1992:
Systems : None
Some of the Games :
This gen game wise: Thief
Overall: my 2004 Alienware. I customized it to run Doom3 and Half Life 2 at high specs.....it did not.
Not only that, somehow I missed the loop about DDR coming out by like 3 weeks bc 3 weeks after I got my system DDR was out....or DDR 2 or whatever.
Then PCIe came out a couple of months later.
I totally dropped the ball and yes I even did some research....just not enough.
Overall game wise: getting back into Madden this gen. Every year it's been shit and it's just so disappointing.
Buying TitanFall for $60. Don't think they had the digital game returns back then on Origin, unfortunately.
