I'm preparing my wallet now. I'm taking 30 bucks out of every paycheck and setting it aside for games.

The only games I'm getting 100% for sure are Skyward Sword and Sonic Generations. Batman: AC, I'm considering day 1 too, but may wait for a price drop, and I'll put Gears 3, Halo Anniversary, and Dark Souls on my tier 2 list. The DBZ game has me intrigued, but I'll wait for the reviews, and I'm going to hold off on 3DS games until probably next year.

Why does nobody ever care about platformers that aren't made by Nintendo? Ok I expected Sonic Generations to not be in anybodys lists because it's cool to hate on Sonic these days(even though Generations does look AWESOME!). But NOBODY cares about Rayman Origins? Seriously? Nobody? I mean....damn. Has nobody seen how awesome that game looks? Possibly the best platformer of the year.

Deus Ex looks amazing (August release hense why I didn't add it) but Bioshock Infinite looks to be one of the best FPSs ever made...

My console and PC will be munching on Gears 3, RAGE, Forza 4, BF3, and Skyrim.

Outside chance of getting Uc3 if I get a PS3 later this year.

It's not going to score a ten on GS for sure so I'm not going to lose that bet I made with someone.

I traded in a bunch of PS3 games and got ~$350 so I've already paid off Rage, Skyrim, Dark Souls, and Battlefield 3. I'll probably get Resistance 3 and Uncharted 3 as well but I may get those at a later date

No idea, they were talking about how they want the game to be as high quality as it should be for fans or something.

I always think its stupid that so many good games get released in the span of 3 months. Nobody can possibly have time ot play/buy them all, so most of them get back later at a later date or just bought used. If they would spread them out better throughout the year (especially with hte annual summer droughts) the games may sell better and we wouldn't have to hear publishers cry about used game sales all the time

Isn't it funny, how right now ALL consoles are in the middle of droughts, yet the Holiday season is stuffed to th brim with great games. I've now got a new found respect for companies with the balls to release in July.

I barely have enough cash for Battlefield and Skyrim. Might have to delay buying Uncharted 3. Also wishing D3 comes out next year. Thank god ME3 went to next year. Also want disgaea 4 and dark souls...and there's RO2...and Warhammer...bah, time to plan a bank heist.

So absolutely true. The main problem being, none of them want to surrender the prime holiday slot to the competition. Each dev and publisher banks that their titles will have the greater consumer pull, that it's their games which will have that "must have" attache, expecting the competition who'll suffer the losses, not themselves. None can afford to appear to be afraid of the competing titles.

And when they're all thinking like this at the same time, this is what happens. Who actully reaps the benefit of maximum holiday profit, and who has to lower their new copy prices after January remains to be seen, but it will come down to some or many devs regretting their release schedules.

And you'd think they would learn from this, BUT, since the appearance to be confident that "WE have THE hot ticket item ideal for holiday release" must be presented at all times, the cycle repeats, over and over and over...
