Knew that 1TB Xbone would get some use.
How much download would it take up if you are streaming ? Around the same or ... ?
Just the game size, which is about 60 gigs.
I think I will stream the episodes m8

But streaming will be a very large download as well.
And if streaming means more artifacting because of higher compression, I'd rather download the episodes and be done with it :P

But streaming dumps what you have already watched, it only caches a little but at a time. The only person this would impact would people that have internet caps that would be concerned about a large download size.
Too bad Windows Store apparently doesn't support pre-loads? Hope they have capable file servers available so I can play it when I get home from work
That's where my 4TB HDD "The Beast" comes in handy. I can see the 75 GB download in the Xbox One store but it wont let me download it, says bundle only, guess it will come later.

Does Windows Store support ANYTHING other than the ability to take money from your credit card?

Well at least it saves me the price of xbox one and having to deal with 30fps + you can most likely do the region change and get the game for much cheaper

I will never be spared the price of the consoles, even when the X1 and PS4 have more and more games coming to PC. I just prefer gaming on console, and I have accepted the fact that PC will have better fps, better res, more games, less expensive games, free online and better upgrade options than my PS4/X1. That said, I still have a solid PC gaming rig for games that are not on console. I like ARMA, iRacing, WOW, and other games too that are only on PC. I do have it setup in the most console like experience though with an X1 elite controller, large TV, full screen view. To each their own though. The important thing is that this is a hobby that we love and enjoy.

My logic exactly. If you care about graphics so much then anyone should go with the PC hands down since they have the upper hand in that department. I've been a Xbox and Playstation gamer since forever and Nintendo also so I'll always choose them over PC and with that I know the graphics will be downgraded compared to the PC, but the graphics on the X1 and PS4 look great anyways so it's not like we are losing that much fidelity and clarity anyways.

I had originally planned on buying xbox one this year mainly for quantum break + scalebound but now that those are going to pc(tho is scalebound sure thing yet) I dont feel like I need one as I'm not really fan of halo and the last gears I own is gears 1. But I don't look down on any1 having an Xbox One, it's still a good console and many of my friends have it.

Well, Scalebound is delayed to 2017 so that blows. But there hasn't been any announcement from MS (yet) that it is coming to PC, nor is Crackdown 3. But they said they were not announced because they were so late in development...but they said the same thing about Quantum Break , which still made it. I think the DX12 ability to pretty much push a button to port made it easier, especially now that both are for Windows 10 on PC and Windows 10 on Xbox. I guess with the Scalebound delay, that might allow them to port to Windows 10 too. Note that Quantum Break was delayed, which I assume was partially for the Windows 10 version.

Lol, this is like the natural progression of early bluray games and their ridiculous level of uncompressed audio.

No this is a unicum. MS won't produce any more games like these with tie in TV shows.
Unless it's a gigantic success and becomes an entirely new game model.

It's Remedy and a perfect fit for something like this to be a great game and a big success with this tie in TV show model.
Fingers, toes and just for good measure, eyes crossed as well. :P

While true, didn't MS dump their TV/Entertainment division and they retained these episodes only so that the game would release as anticipated? I thought this was their last TV project entirely.

Well that depends on who is responsible for Quantum Break's show, Remedy or Microsoft... They might not do it themselves, but that doesn't mean they won't support developers doing it.
That's a lot of cutscenes.
Much like how Sony fanboys love the cutscenes in Beyond 2 Souls and The Last of Us.

Oh yes, I agree. I just know that MS owns the QB IP, and I thought I read they were done with TV production. But in a sense, never say never, right?

From a source that has already played the game, he said it was very light on cutscenes in the actual game so this "movie game" connection people are trying to make has been debunked.
It's a normal game with an optional show in it between chapters, nothing more and nothing less.
Is it possible to download this episode pack yet? I want to be ready to roll come launch day.
You've been able to download it this entire time haha.

How?!?!?! I have the game pre-loaded but when I go to the episode pack it just says "bundle only" Damn Xbox UI.......
they can bugger off, it took nearly 5 hours for me to install Ryse, i did want to play this game but now i think i will give it a miss now.
Took me about 20 minutes to install the game.
Yeah, same, not sure what's going on there delta, yikes, 5 hours is crazy though I suppose you could always just let it DL overnight whilst you sleep.

True I didn't get it at first either... Go into all your games and apps on Xbox One. Press Y (or start) on the Quantum Break game, there you should see the game preloaded and to the right of it you should see the episode pack.
There you can download it ;)

I was gonna shy away from all the media attention, but I watched some trailers the other day (the playing with Sam Lake one I posted and the Villains life action trailer).
The live action seems to be of a quality that we haven't seen in games yet. The gameplay also seems of very high quality, which we've come to expect from Remedy.
This game is gonna be goooooooood.
While true, didn't MS dump their TV/Entertainment division and they retained these episodes only so that the game would release as anticipated? I thought this was their last TV project entirely.
They did, and you are right. This is their last TV project from their TV studios.
I'm sure MS chipped in with getting all these high profile actors. But I'm sure Remedy did most of the work when it comes to story and directing. They had the actors anyway, so they put them into the game as well with motion capping. It was kinda an overlapping project. Instead of two different ones.
I'm sure MS produced some other TV series/tie-ins. But I can't remember anything. ANd nothing was up to the same quality as what we are getting now.
In that regard, it's kinda a shame that MS cut the TV entertainment division. But on the other hand: they did say they won't stop any studio from doing something like this again :)

It took about 20 minutes for the disk to install, it took another Four and a half hours to install the update and i have fibre optic 100 meg broadband.
@R4gn4r0k:
I implemented a self embargo on any QB vids a couple months ago just so I can experience just about every little thing for the first time I play it myself.
And yes, this gun b gud. :D
@SecretPolice:
You only do that for the best of the best games, right ? ^^
Argh, this wait is killing me O_0
Yes indeed also, just spotted this and I won't watch but I'll leave it here to tease the rest of you :P

That is weird. I have the same download speed, but did mine digitally downloaded and it was 20 minutes. I wonder if they do things different with Disk vs. Digital.
