Well this is it, Quantum Break is MS next big thing making it the most anticipating games of 2016. Quantum Break blurs the line between television and gameplay, integrating the two into one seamless, uniquely immersive experience. Sounds interesting right? Well of course it does, which is why the hype thread was made for. Quantum Break has been getting a lot of talk in SW but not going into details why, cause it's already been discuss why and this is NOT what the hype thread was made for, it's to get excited for and so with that, what is Quantum Break exactly? Well let's get to that shall we.

What is QB? [Quantum Break] It's Remedy's next huge game, [and the makers of Alan Wake and Max Payne/Max Payne 2] that's part game, part T.V show into one, which is a new experiment for Remedy, it's a unique game at that. Quantum Break is full of the vivid storytelling, rich characters and dramatic twists Remedy Entertainment are renowned for. Your choices in-game will affect the outcome of this fast-paced fusion between game and show giving the player a completely unique entertainment experience.

But who is this Main Character? Jack Joyce is the guy we play as, he has the power of Time and Space, [well not that kind of powers mind you] who can manipulate and bending time to his will, sounds cool right? I guess.

About the whole T.V show: The TV show element is no minor portion of the game, either. While the episodes will be streamed within the game, requiring an internet connection, they can be downloaded in the form of an Episode Pack that totals at a whopping 75GB! Damn!

Final verdict: Trying not to make this thread long as it is, is Quantum Break worth the pick up? I say Hell freaking yeah it is, it's Remedy's latest creation work with the whole T.V integration of course so with that, I'm going for a, A 9/10! I'm gambling on this one, Remedy has never let me down and not gonna turn my backs on them now.

Halo 5 forgotten? While I may detest the single player portion of the game, to state that its forgotten is moronic.

Halo 5 will never be forgotten as long as Playstation fan boys lives, they bring it up more than actual Halo fans.

exactly, lems never talk about Halo 5 and its never really brought it into anything... the game came out and went to the wayside pretty fast.

Back in the day people would rave about big games like this for months after it release. Now they get hyped up but once it release they go quiet within 2 days.

All of the previews have been very positive, everything shown has been quite creative, experimental and different from what we've seen in not only years but ever. People clamor on about how so many series' and franchises are milked to death, how nothing is original anymore, and this game is a gleaming example that new ideas, experimentation and originality do still exist. Remedy has always created wonderful third person experiences with a level of depth and story telling seen sparsely elsewhere, I hope this game lives up to everything they wanted to achieve and everything Remedy fans want out of it.

Going with an 8.

Can't wait for this game! Been a fan of Remedy and their games. Alan Wake was an amazing experience to me. And this being Remedy I know this game will have a very GOOD atmosphere. Xbox owners are in for a good treat if they never played Alan Wake or the original Max Payne.

But I do in fact have some concerns. I really hope MS/Remedy been marketing this game like crazy, because Alan Wake kinda flopped early in sales due to lack of marketing. Though it seems MS/Remedy have not been trying to make that same mistake which is good.

Another concern I hope they learned from is the repetitiveness of Alan Wake. Yes Alan Wake was amazing to me, but repetitiveness was its main issue. Which I hope Remedy fixes.

To me this game looks like its going to have the Alan Wake atmosphere/storytelling and the game play of Max Payne. Which I am LOVING. Xbox owners PLEASE support this game as the Xbox needs more games in the Xbox family to be among with Gears and Halo. MS can not just rely on Halo and Gears...

But anyhow again can't wait for game. :)

I'm on the fence now with this game, I wanna experience the PC version but I don't want to support the Windows Store :p hopefully we see an Steam version down the road. And I really like thaf TV thing they're pushing.

For score, 8/10 because I'm not sure how gs will take it but I play safe so if it gets 9 I'll be happy.

Just couldn't resist couldn't you? Just had to let the fanboyism out. Here I was hoping for a thread where we can finally address this game with peaceful and civil converstations.

Halo 5 forgotten? What? Is that why Halo 5's multiplayer continues ti be active? Is that why Halo 5 continues to have big tournaments? Seriously what are you talking? Not even including the fact that Halo has one of the largest fanbases in gaming.

Years later and people still talk about a potential Alan Wake sequel.

Remedy is happy to see so many people still talking about the game, as it was a project they absolutely loved doing.

So yeah, let's hope QB is as easily forgotten as Alan Wake was... meaning it'll never be forgotten.

Story will be pretty cool but I think the gameplay looks awkward.

I say 8, even if it was a 10/10 worthy title it'll still get a 2/10 deduction just for being an Xbox One exclusive.

Funny I'm more excited for Quantum Break then I am for Uncharted 4.

Honestly, AA (Alan Wake was 83/100)

...but it would be radical if Quantum Break were AAA at MC or GS.

I think Remedy is a good studio, but they lack that something special that got can make them a 90/100+ studio at MC. Maybe QB will break that longtime trend for Remedy, we'll see.

Can't wait, Remedy has yet to make a bad game, love the idea of tv show and game mixed together to. Max Payne 1 and 2 are classics and Alan Wake was great to.

Nice to see a dev team take some chances to, excited to give this a try and see how the story unfolds. Fanboys will act like Remedy sucks or has never made a great game, but we can all see past the fanboy bs that system wars brings to the table. Remedy are trying something new here, I am expecting anywhere from AA to AAA scores.

9/10 on QB here although this is pointless as there is no meta game, scores from anywhere can be used in arguments and there are no flops anymore in SW.

Well that's straight up bullshit. This board was filled with Halo threads after it reviewed for more than 2 days. Your ilk bashing it, people like me commenting between Warzone matches about its awesomness. And Bloodborne wasn't talked about all that much after the first couple of weeks. Acting like this is strictly an Xbox phenomenon is LOL. How long were you guys gushing over Until Dawn?

Will probably get a 7 for being too linear, having too many cutscenes and not groundbreaking. Then they'll give UC4 a 9 for tight level design and having lots of scripted moments and cutscenes.
