Quantum thread of Gears of War plus a chick with a sword

There's actually a gameplay trailer I'd never seen on this.

QUANTUMTM (PLAYSTATION®3 system / 2010)

What I think is it's a copy of GeOW + chick with a sword for combos + Harry Potter stairs. Could be good, will probably be bad, but them again I don't even like gears that much.

TECMO is doing a CAPCOM, trying to appeal to WESTERN GAMERS.

We'll see how it turns out. I say A for now.

Haha, this is truly a facepalm worthy clone. It doesn't just take inspiration, like Gears did from RE4 and kill.switch. It just completely rips off Gears and shoves in some JRPG cliches.

Some of the designs and bosses look like something pulled out of a JRPG or even a DMC. It looks like a Japanese Gears clone. Success!

Every line of dialogue in that video was a cliche.

Best Part:

- "Why is this tower here?"

- "Why are you here?"

Aw crap, not another Gears clone, and it doesn't help that the art direction looks bland.

Plus, it's a PS3 exclusive, and I'm not too kind against them.:P

Wtf? Seriously? It could've sounded badass. He could've done the "everything changes in the end" or something. Sure, it's cliche, but it would've sounded a lot better.

And why do I want this game? It's like I need to experience it. Atleast the moving stairs part looks cool and maybe the tagteam crap.

I really dont care if its a gears rip off if its fun. Hopefully it wont be a buggy mess like gears was

No because Gears 1 & 2 are great games... and if they are gamers and like cool shooters... then I would naturally assume they'd want to play Gears... and by the looks of it, buying Quantum is like buying a Chinese Vii instead of a Nintendo Wii.

Well they do seem quite a bit alike.... but Dante's Inferno looks far FAR better than Quantum. What I mean is... Dantes Inferno is emulating GoW in many ways, except 1 game is Greek Mythology & the other is HELL! But Quantum just looks like a poor mans Gears of War.... the characters are laughable at best.

LOL, even the HUD(weapon/ammo) looks like it's from Gears of War. Biggest difference is that chick.

Don't know about Killzone 2... having not played it, I wouldn't presume to know if others would like it... However I have played Gears a plenty... and feel confident in my assessment.... also sales of Gears 1 & 2 prove me right.

You guys a some kinda haters especially when many games borrow from and play similar to others. The game actually looks decent, other than the fact it's a gears of war rip off (yes i know it is) what looked so terrible about it?

Am I the only one who didn't think that looked in any way passable?

What is the plot even? Evil towers?

Looks interesting in some parts, but overall it looks meh IMO.

The problems I have with it is the AI seems dumb and gun doesint seem to pack a punch.
