Its from The Witness blog, it explains how the game ended up on PS4.

"I dont have good communication with anyone at Microsoft right now, but all our technical people like the PS4 specs a lot more than the leaked Durango specs, and we like the positioning of the PS4 (its about games) more than what we perceive Microsofts positioning is going to be."

nice to see the gddr5 put to good use there.

They are speculating just like anybody else, they don't know any more then the lot at the moment. What MS does as far as positioning goes will greatly influence my decision. I do like what the PS4 is offering though, curious to see the pricing.

Except rumblings out developers is that while the PS4 is more powerful, the gap is marginal and similar to the ps3 vs 360. Its brute strength vs raw efficiency.

You are looking at it all wrong. Do you know how DME/DMA's work? The ESRAM in addition is not only low latency, but it does not have the restrictions the EDRAM in the 360 has. 32mb is much cheaper the gddr5, and you get a huge bandwidth increase and that's not all its good for. Bang for buck. Looks like a semi TBR(Tile renderer) system actually.

You say "bottlenecks", I say it's a cost effective way of getting the very most out of each component and I think others who understand it would agree.

I guess we will find out, personally I can go either way this generation.

Oh, it's very much possible MS will pull off some stupid moves with the 720, but all I'm saying is, it's not good to go by the rumors, no matter how credible they may seem.

I'll wait for facts and official words, and well, since MS is planning to unveil the 720 in April, won't have to wait that long...

Whatever Microsoft are cooking up certainly has the $ony fan trolls running scared that's for sure :o

It's a known fact PS4 specs are awesome and very dev friendly, but compare them to leaked/rumored ones is prity stupid!

I can't wait for devs to pull a 180 and worship the ground the NextXbox walks on when it gets revealed,

devs just go were the hype is in hopes of high sales

Since we are going off leaked stuff, I guess that means Sony is still not allowing used games on the PS4. I mean it was talked about every day when leaked so it had to be true. :lol:

The only thing they haven't said is whether the camera is being built in or will be a seperate accessory. Without the camera it is going to be motion sensing light. With the camera it is going to be move 2.0. And there will be the option of a seperate move controller.

I actually like this business strategy better than MS because we presumably wom't have to pay the cost of the camera in every unit. On the otherhand a built in kinect is going to be cheaper than buying a seperate move camera, so a lot may still depend on pricing.

But lets not kid ourselves that one is uber core and the other is uber casual. Sony is building some of the enabling technology into every system, they just have not gone whole hog and bundled the camera (that we know of yet).
