Gaming is a form of entertainment... I have nothing more to say. Oh, and yeah, war can be pink and green.wapahalaI agree and I agree. War can definitely be pink and green. But it can also be gray as in Gears of War 2, andd there is nothing inherently worse about an art style like that,
[QUOTE="siefier25"][QUOTE="wzboson"]Same thing as my above post. I do think games are for fun.
My problem is mainly with *wii* gamers that act like fun can only be mindless, bright and colorful.
I have seen people use this argument to say that wii sports is better than geow2.
Also, an interesting issue that has stemmed from this is whether fun and entertainment are synonomous.

Well I'll tell you what I'm sick of: People saying wii gamers are mindless. Have you played the wii before? I think not. Have you played Mario Galaxy, Okami, Zelda, Paper Mario, Metroid? Those are just some of the games with story. THere are plenty more. And as for LBP..it has a story! Wow! Bet you didn't know that because once again...YOU'VE NEVER PLAYED IT! ANother thing that I'm sick! People who have never played games...and bash them!
Seriously, before you create a topic, you should think it through.
wrong I have played wii. I played zelda, metroid, mario kart, SMG, wii sports and brawl. I said LBP doesn't have a story for 90% of what you will be playing, ie what you create yourself and other people create only I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through I have thought my post through, but you need to read i through First off, I read your post just fine. I know what depth is, and its all a MATTER OF OPINION. Fallout 3 didn't have much for storywise. You can beat it in less than 3 hours. However, if you go about doing a bunch of side and free form quests it adds DEPTH. Its a matter of opinion. If you base your opinion of depth as in just story, than almost every game out right now has NO depth except for MGS4 and GTAIV. So please, clarify What you mean't you so we can have a real discussion.[QUOTE="wapahala"]Gaming is a form of entertainment... I have nothing more to say. Right... yes, it can be gray, but the point is that all of a sudden, this gen, FPS shooters all have the same gray/brown/bloom look. Why is that? Looking at it that way, you can somewhat understand that the artstyle may be boring and not as interesting as games with color. When you play a game like Halo 3, Perfect Dark Zero or Uncharted, it stands out in the crowd. Going with the Killzone 2, Gears 1/2, Resistance 1/2 look just seems unimaginative, and boring.
[QUOTE="ActicEdge"][QUOTE="wzboson"] bad games? no, just no depth honestly, the point I am trying to make has been r aped repeatedly by your inability to read.wzboson
You never explained to me why mp adds depth or answered my actual serious post that was trying to answer your question. Do you want to see the post again, I'm willing to give you serious answers.
Sorry, I know I have missed a lot of posts, for I am trying to respond to a little from everything. Depth in my opinion, is the ability to go deeper into the game in terms of story (getting really into) or skill. Obviously multiplayer increases the skill aspect of this, because you can become a master of the gameplay, and compare yourself to other opponents. SMG doesn't have any multiplayer, and there isn't that much depth to the single player gameplay. I guess I have to accept that I am going to have to reitterate the same points over and over and over and over again. This was not in your opening post which is why you are getting so many attacks. Its too late to edit it in now but for next time make sure to introduce your definition of the topic so everyone knows what your talking about. By the way, I don't actually think you meant to cause troble, but rather went about your points the wrong way.

I am ellaborating my opinion, because people did not understand it. Thats not against the rules of writing, but rather a necessity of intellectual discussion.[QUOTE="ActicEdge"][QUOTE="wzboson"] Sorry, I know I have missed a lot of posts, for I am trying to respond to a little from everything. When you make an arguement you need a firm baase so people aren't confused on your purpose and reasoning. Building upon it later is fine, IF everyone was going to read the whole thread and we were all talking directly to each other. That isn't the case here so you need to be crystal clear from the beginning if you do not want to be attacked as a fanboy or troll. This is especially true if you are at a low level like ourselves.
