"Graphics don't matter" is the new cliche phrase of the year...

I was kind of disappointed when Nintendo said the Wii won't be a powerful system. Although it doesn't matter too much, some games would have great on the Wii, but it isn't powerful enough for them. Dead Rising would be brilliant on the Wii; using baseball bats, bowling balls, guns, swords etc all with the Wiimote would have been fantastic. Alas, Nintendo said graphics aren't important...

Hardly anyone says "graphics don't matter". :roll: Alot of people say that "graphics don't matter as much as gameplay" - which is a true statement.HeedleGlavin

I'm so tired of hearing it over and over... Please stop trying to impress us with your "I see games for their inner beauty" crap... Graphics mean as much to us as they always have... they sell consoles, they immerse the gamer, they are everybit as important as anything else in a game...They're art.

Graphics are important to a certain extent. Next generation, graphics will be at their peak if they don't manage to this gen. Then what?

Wii is about adding a new interface to games. Sure, graphics won't be as good as the PS3 or Xbox 360, but it will provide a new interface that will move the industry forward. If only graphics improve without a different interface, then the industry corrodes under its own inability to evolve.

I cringe whenever someone mentions the word "Graphics". C'mon people, your all better then this, this topic has been done to death. Ok, sheep, your console is not gonna have as great graphics as the other two, and don't even bring gameplay and graphics together unless your looking for a fight. Cows and Lemmings, the Wii can still have good graphics, the devs just have to work it out. Hermits, stop laughing at us from behind our backs. Oh...so graphics sell consoles? Why is the PS3 failing so bad then? Graphics matter yes but it's NOT ALL that matters. The market has stayed the same for over a decade and you think graphics is going to bring more new gamers? You re totally wrong. Thats why Nintendo made something new to actually EXPAND the market.

No. Look at the graphs is the cliche of the year. Graphics dont matter was seen  daily in jan. But right now, it is being pushed by " the artwork" PS3 delivers.

I have never heard "graphics don't matter" from anyone, what I have heard is gameplay is more important than graphics.

If you can't see the difference or think those statements have the same message than you have the mental capacity of a chick pea.

I've seen "wait and see" and "rumble=last gen" more than " graphics doesn't matter". Infact I hardly see "graphics doesn't matter" from sheep so much as "gameplay>graphics" which is right in every great games case.

between 360 and ps3 grafix wont matter as much, they all look great! but i think it never did ps2 won with the worst grafix out of three (DC and xbox)
