Actually, since you decided to try cheat and use multiplayer, Left4dead and Team Fortress 2 has great writing. Far better quility than anything hiyo koneema had done. In fact you could argue before Team Fortress 2, multiplayer games lacked any character or writing of high quility. Look how many multiplayer games try that now.

And yea, Portal 1/2 (esp 2) has writing that kills Metal Gear Solid. lol it's not even a comparison.

Nope I didnt cheat at all... i wanted to show you that the only good writing from any of Valve's games was in the Half-Life series which i love...

TF2 is one of the most fun i've had when it comes to online shooters and the rest are all good/great games but surely there's no better writing compared to MGS..

You may not like the MGS series but at least compare the gameplay, sounds  or fun aspect since that is subjective.. However if you want to compare story telling  & quality in writing its not a matter of opinion it is a FACT that none of these games (HL series excluded) is remotely close to MGS level !!

Comparing a Multiplayer only FPS game to a single player game in writing terms is a bit idiotic.

The amount of quality that we saw in that GTA 5 trailer was miles above anything we've ever seen a game do previously. Rockstar just proved that you don't need massive amounts of power to make stellar games.

GTA 5 will be the best game of this generation. Simple as that. It will put almost all next gen games to shame.

Watch Dogs looks like another generic Ubisoft open world game. After AC3 I lost huge amount of confidences in Ubisoft.  That's just my opinion. The only thing I see cool about Watch dogs is the hacking. That's badass.

Ubisoft kill games with hand holding tutorials are remove any challange as they are probably afraid it will hurt sales. being the greedy X they are.

Far Cry 3 was about the closest thing to an actual game they have produced recently.

Agreed. Open world games is NOT Ubisofts strong point. Watchdogs is not going to have as much content as GTA V. I know MGS 5 is not going to have as much content as GTA 5, but I fill for some reason that MGS 5 going to open us something new to open world games. I also feel the map of MGS 5 is going to be much bigger. And it takes place in Afghanistan during the cold war. How badass is that???

Grand Theft Auto isn't much of an open world game either. It's basically a sandbox envroment full of really linear missions.
