well...isn't that how it always ends up? consoles always have the most significant games of every generation.

Platform isn't relative to the quality of game produced. Never has been. It's a fallacy spread by PC gamers. They want you to believe that having more power to push pixels means better games. PC games look better than their console counterparts and often the deeper and more hardcore titles are on the PC because the platform's development costs are low enough to support such niche titles and the market for those kind of games resides on the PC.

Rockstar has always made super high quality games on whatever platform they want. It just goes to show game mechanics don't rely on the power of the platform. 

It has nothing to do what platform the game is on. As long as a platform can produce playable video games there is a chance a magnificent title could be released on the platform. 

Also GTA 5 will end up on the PC like every major GTA game in the past.

But the last 3 sucked. 1 was good. Swapping the controller and key at the back of the case was pretty creative. However since then, it's been downhil.

Now the only people who still like Metal Gear Solid are animoo fans too blind to see reality.

The amount of quality that we saw in that GTA 5 trailer was miles above anything we've ever seen a game do previously. Rockstar just proved that you don't need massive amounts of power to make stellar games.

GTA 5 will be the best game of this generation. Simple as that. It will put almost all next gen games to shame.

From what I understand, the developers stripped out the usual stuff.  Every digital production has a ton of assets that are never used.  Its the same for movies and games.  

But when SE mentioned that they cut a lot of content from XIII, gamers automatically assumed it was the fault of some platform.  It makes sense considering that most gamers dont work in that field, so they dont understand how assets that took up time and money could just be kicked to the curb.  Rest assured, its an every day thing.

But lets just (falsely) assume for a second that FFXIII was stripped down for the 360.. would it have mattered?  The game is crap to the core.  It wasnt a lack of content that hurt it, but a lack of direction.  

Anyways, whether MGS5 is good or not wont be affected by the X1.  Its all up to Kojima and his team.  MGS4 is easily the most technically advanced game in the series and it sucks compared to the previous titles.  Hardware isnt the end all when it comes to games.

that was my point.... the other poster said Valve games have better writing and went on to list the likes of Portal & TF2.. So I wanted to know how such games have better/more complex story telling/writing..
