Make better games that are worth the $60 price tag.

But unfortunately, that's in LaLa Land.

Why should every game be worth the 60$ though. What if I want to make a game that is worth only 30 or 40$. Not every developer can afford to spend 20 millions on a game. Not every game has the same value so why the same price.
But if I'm gonna sell my game boxed for 30 bucks I'm not going to win much am I? DD would be the only way to make a profit from my not so blockbuster game. The 60$ price tag is a bit harmful to the small devs who can't afford millions in developing and marketing because they can't offer a more competitive price.

I have to agree that's an upside with digital distribution, as much as I like my physical media.
The title of this thread and the title of the article say two very different things. Misleading.Earlier today I saw this Tweet from Cliffy B.:
"http://aol.it/itAtNF It's official. RIP disc based Single Player games that are less than 20+ hours in length."

Maybe I didn't word properly.
I'm not saying every game should have a standard $60 price tag. Even I never spend that much on games in this gen. I was only saying $60 is the NORM price range for this generation for most (hardcopy) games, therefore (hardcopy) games should atleast live up to that price tag.
and honestly why would i pay 2 dollars to rent a game per day when
i can own one for 60 bucks or less ya every day that 2dollars adds up im better off with buying it ,
plus what if ur system breaks it you have tobuy it any way so there goes the 2 dollars per night plus the cost of actually buying it off thestore ,,ya no way will i ever be renting disc based games or dvds, ur responsible regardles of how it gets damaged ,
and im not driving just to return them every night sorry
