When people refer to PCs here, they refer to gaming PCs, most of which today are easily more powerful than consoles. No one ever said all, but it's easier to say PC than to explain all that each time.

If you're spending $1,000 on a laptop then yes it is wise.

It's perfectly acceptable for someone to say the PC is the best console, because that's their opinion. The thing that's NOT acceptable is bashing the PS3 and 360 for not being able to match the PC's graphics. When someone brings that up, I facepalm.SoraX64

In a technical aspect of course, as it should. Computers are well computers:| Of course I prefer to game on consoles, but hey thats just me.I never said computers aren't more advanced than consoles, you have me all wrong here. What I'm fed up with is how Hermits act as if its something to bring up all the time, as If PC is a console or something.Computers constantly upgrade and are always offered in various configurations, brands, etc. Why should they be compared to static machines that are build for gaming. Basically Computers should be compared to consoles and all Hermits know it. Some just come on this board to throw around their misguided feelings of superiority over consolites and its BS because its a no S&^# situation that computers are more powerful than consoles as they're general use machines that have been around for ages.

PC has the most and best games, that's why they prefer it to consoles.

I would simply stick with the games and at a best-case scenario. PC gamers vary in their hardware. Console gamers vary in the televisions they have their consoles hooked up to. I know more than a few (including my own kid plus nieces and nephews) who still game on an SDTV.

I guess no one gets where I'm coming from.......sigh

so then for someone to factually say "PC is the best" they would have to be referring to their own PC that has hardware that is better than every other PC out there correct?

I don't think people should be able to say "PC is the best" unless THEY themselves have a PC that can Put out the optimal graphics which they speak about. Because simply saying "PC is the best" when not PC have the same graphics, ability and configuration is an out right lie.

You could say MY PC is the best. etc and list your specs and give graphics from YOUR computer to comparie against everything else and see if people agree but not some phantom system that someone has that isn't even relevant to experience.

all look and play the same on what ever version of those consoles you play but PC is the only system that say "crysis" will not look the same on everybody's setup and even the proformance is affected on PCs that have diffrent setups, so it could only even be prime if it's YOUR version that you're referring to.

All i gather from this is that you brought a laptop crap for games and now your pissed off. $1000 for crap Notebook laptop you brought its your own fault for not doing your research....Like the other poster said the M11x alienware lapton is under $1000 and that will out perform the 360 and PS3 combined. On top of that gaming laptops are more expensive then gaming rigs. And on top of that Alienware are alot more expensive then building your own.

So the fact you have not actually had a gaming laptop or rig tells me you know nothing about PC gaming.

Well, first of all we're in a forum which follows a different set of rules, thus why would we bring the "real world" into it? Secondly, PC's aren't upgraded monthly and not all computers are general use. Mine is specifically for gaming as my laptop does my general uses.

Actually, I'm happy with my laptop, it has the features I wanted. All I get from this thread is TC brought an overpriced laptop that is crap compared to what you can get for the same price as shown by other and now he is ticked of at PC games and PC gaming hardware beacuse of his overpriced laptop that he brought. Typical example of consoler who knows nothing about PC gaming or PC hardware.

Do, yourself a favor return that laptop and buy one of thegaming laptop that we posted for the same price.Better yet, if you want one with a Blu-ray you could just spend a little more and get a gaming laptop AND blu-ray.

Ive had my current pc for 3.5 years and havnt upgraded anything, might get a new graphcis card next year thats it.

Its funny how people act like you have to upgrade your PC every month lol.
