Metacritic is the same kind of site as gamerankings only they have averaged reviews for movies,books, and TV slongside games.

If you never had fun playing a R&C game then there is something terribly wrong with ya. People can talk all they want but the series are some of the most funnest games out there.

They don't have more sources. Metacritic intentionally chooses only "reputable" review sources. Not like RottenTomatoes or GameRankings, which accept pretty much everything as a source.

R &C has always been some lame attemp to 1up mario deadmeat59

:| Yeah i'm sure with a massive amount of weapons, armor, weapon upgrades its just trying to outdo Mario. Considering the only similarity between R&C and Mario is platforming that was really stupid to say. Thats like saying "Halo has always been some lame attempt to 1up Doom". Just because they are part of the same genre doesn't mean they are that similiar.

Also who cares about metacritic, Game Rankings is where its at 8). Metacritic puts in reviews from any half-assed magazine out there. They should only keep it with the major reviewers. You might as well put every fan made review out there while your at it, if your going to put some second-hand magazine reviews.

i haven't touched any of my other games since getting R&C, that includes god of war 2 which i haven't finished because i'm having way more fun with R&C

Either way 36 reviews are better than one and the majority gave it a AAA+ score, the game is solid.

Has anyone bothered to look at the two of them and see which sources are left out of the Metacritic one?

Which review sources are different? Because if Metacritic is leaving out Playstation magazines and that's why it's a lower score, I think this is pretty significant.

Can't be bothered to check myself to see what's different though, mostly this R+C whining is just really annoying.

With 23 reviews saying this game is AAA and 5 AAAAi don't understand why anyone would focus on the 2 or 3 sub AA scores?!?!?!?!

If wecheck out the real world for a second several ppl including yourself would look a lot less silly regarding calling R&C a flop!!

my brother brought his ps3 this weekend when he had to come down for some work and he broght RnC with it. The only game other then eye judgment (which came with his ps3) for it. I played it for 2 hours and was wondering when something new would happen, if t was all auto-traget crap. The weapons are cool. But it gets sooo boreing when your not wacthing the CG cut scenes...not mention the graphics stunk!!!!! after i quit playing i told him he was an ifiot for buying a ps3 for this game and that he should have waited. Like i'm doing waiting for mgs4 and maybe even wait more for good games like how i waited on the xbox 1 for good games.

Games TM is a UK base gaming magazine famous for pro-360 and anti-PS3 bias. They underate almost every ps3 only title. Metacritic also lowered game revolution score by 5 points. Game revolution gave R&C a B and metacritic scored that a 75/100 which is false, gamerankings gave the same score 80/100.

In the real world I've spoken to a couple of people who have played the game (and who I know are not blind cows)...both are of the opinion that the game deserves a B at best. Another guy thought the game was downright awful, but he does not like kiddy games. All these guys are hardcore gamers who prefer games such as Graw and CoD.

I've seen the game in action and I didn't think the graphics were out of of this world (good, but nothing special).

I truly believe that some reviewers gave the game, and Sony, a pity score. They added some points for effort, if you will...thankful that it wasn't another Lair. Lets say they scored it on a curve; since it is the best the PS3 has to offer (which is not saying much) it got a couple of extra brownie points. The GS review, however, graded it on it own merits.

This is just my opinion (and those of my friends and GS) since I have not played the game.
