r9 380x destorys your ps4 and is coming out in q2 this year

Supposedly the 3xx is going to be 20nm, they are tapped out at 28nm as the 290x shows,the new cards 380x,390x will supposedly have a similar power draw to a 780,780 Ti,they are not going to be as energy efficient as Maxwell,but also not as power hungry as the 290's.

Not of this is actual proven facts just what has been rumored but being this close to release it probably is accurate.

Software is subjective, quality is objective, and we know which one wins on that.

The problem is everyone enjoys different things. Check out the P2M podcast for example. (Sticky) Some people will enjoy the Wii U more than the PS4 at this point. Some may enjoy the PS4 over PC. Hardware specs isn't the end all. It never was. I know folks who enjoy handhelds over consoles. Are those people wrong?

I'm not giving up gaming on PS4 due to a GPU being able to "destroy" specs on a console. I've never looked at my gaming PC and go "well its more powerful than consoles so I dont need to play them.

I've never owned a nVidia card in my life and I'm laughing at the idea of buying a new AMD card.

They just did a benchmark and PC plays Bloodborn at 0 frames per second. However it performs quite well with late Xbox360 ports and WoW expansion packs.

bro don't hate on PS4's memory because it was game devs who asked for it. PS3 had shared memory and it got hated on like mad by game devs while the X360 with GDDR3 was praised left and right, which is why the PS4 now has shared memory.

I never want to buy a bulky, vulgar stationary PC again. Thus, I currently have no use for such a GPU. Small form-factor devices like laptops and consoles are so much more convenient.

Off the top of my head, Planetside 2, H1Z1 and a couple others.

Looked up the others. DC Universe Online and EverQuest Next.

All four games are on PC (Windows) and a PlayStation platform (either PS4 or PS3 and PS4).

Planetside was originally on PC.

Not sure how "they bring" H1Z1 on PC as it was supposed to come out first on that platform,then PS4

I'm just saying, rather than leave the games as all PlayStation or PC properties, they are doing multiplatform development.

It is well known that as a Zelda fan i love waiting 10-15 years to see if the game will be on PC eventually to play it

Also lets do a reality check, is Demons Souls on PC ? Sure i can wait until 150 years old to see if it will come, but then again why not play it on PS3 now ?

Then I'll play all the games on PC that still barely need my GTX 680.

My SLI GTX 970's do as well, but that doesn't stop me from playing my PS4/X1/Wii-U either. Play games, not the platforms. Certain games benefit from certain conditions. I chose the REmake for PS4, as I would prefer playing on my 64" Samsung Plasma with surround sound vs. on my PC. It's more immersful (i don't know how to spell it and auto correct is not correcting it at this moment) on my TV vs. PC. But then are times where I would prefer to play a game on my PC and I have the horsepower to do so when I want. I don't like hauling my PC down a flight of stairs to hook up to my TV, so that squashes any of you who are gonna be "just connect your PC to your TV". Now Razers new forge might make that possible for me, but I don't know until I try it. But even I sometimes can't see the difference between versions. I know the difference between 1080p or 1440p vs lower, 60fps vs. 30. Depending on the game it doesn't matter.

PC elitists make me resent that I own a powerful PC and play some games on it. There are times where I just want ease of access, trophies/achievements and such. Not everything is better on PC unless you OWN NOTHING ELSE OTHER THAN A PC AND MONITOR. REmake is better on my PS4 + Sammy plasma vs. my PC with my Dell ultrasharp. Both are good, but there is no beating the picture quality of a Samsung PFN8500.

And that's exactly what your doing as well. Their are MILLIONS who don't give as much of a crap about 60fps vs. 30fps. MOST gamers that I know are the same as me. WE prefer top end graphics and 30FPS is just fine.

HBM has the ability to move move 4.5x data per module faster then a GDDR5 module.28GB/s vs 128GB/s. Now with 1st gen HBM has a limit of 4 per stack so the limit for bandwidth is around 512GB/s. So really in the end 1st gen HBM is only only around 35% faster then 384bit GDDR5 found in the GTX 780ti or 38% faster then 290x with 512bit slower clocked GDDR5 at 320gb/s.
