I've got I'll wait until they're out to make judgments, I hate this living in the future business where released games are inconsequential and theoretical games are the only ones worth talking about. Without looking though I'll pick Killzone for teh lulz. ;)Hahadouken
I would also pick KZ3 between those two ;)

Yea its not like RAGEs 60fps,open world and MEGATEXTURES are not technically impressive ;) Id has twice less time to render everything in comparison with KZ3,and just the fact that they can compare is big thing.Anyway...it will be more interesting tomorrow...Crysis 2 comes to play.

I'm not the one who said it, but I agree with them to a point. Underwhelming is stretching it too far, but I do think KZ3 looks better.[QUOTE="Chutebox"]

wow, I read the article and forgot Rage even had those elements.
PSU's word can be taken with a grain of salt.
They look about equal. I am sure if Rage was a linear corridor shooter that run at 30 FPS, it would look a LOT better than Killzone 3. But the fact it even compares to it while being a new IP, having a wide open world with vehicles, maintaining 60 FPS and producing "megatextures" is significantly more impressive than a linear shooter that already had it's engine built from ground up with Killzone 2.
After watching those videos I will go with Rage barely. Rage running at 60FPS and being open world is pretty cool.
Rage looks better to me. Simply more pleasing to the eye. KZ still has really bad player models.i5750at4GhzReally? I wouldn't say Rage's character models are any better, they look pretty plasticy.

I think the Helghast look great. I just wish GG would fix the whole issue of the main character wearing a t shirt in the arctic. :?

Stylistic? More like unnatural. It looks cartoony and I am going to have to go with bland.

Lot people easily dismiss 60 FPS. Lot of good looking games runs at 30 FPS but they don't look nearly as good as Rage. Also, draw distance in outdoor areas is probably best i've seen in any game. Animations are unlike any other game. This is easily the best looking game technically.

:| I'm sorry but Killzone 3 looks like ****. I'll make some gifs of Rage, there's so many awesome moments. * -*
That's kinda pointless to compare two really different games. KZ3 should be compared to Crysis 2 and to a lesser extent to Halo Reach. Rage is an open-world game that is closer to Borderlands, Stalker and even Fallout 3 more so than to KZ3.

Such ignorant drivel. I knew I was reading rubbish when he made the car analogies so common among fanboys and then using the word "technicality" without going into further detail. Rage is open world running at 60fps and an environment that trumps KZ3, it's the graphics winner. But what can you expect from Playstationunlimited.Doh! that's why there's no mention of gears 3!Playstation site comparing arguably two of the most impressive looking games on E3,tomorrow they are adding Crysis 2 to mix :D

KZ3 has destructibility. Rage runs at 60fps, and at this point looks better. Sounds like a reasonable tradeoff.
The impressive thing to me is the KZ2/3 are graphical showcases built from the ground up for PS3, with astronomical dev costs. Yet, their being matched/beaten in gfx quality by a multiplat that had to be optimized for 3 different platforms. Same with Crysis 2. Respect +1 for id and Crytek.
