R&C: ACIT GS Review (8.5)

Quest For Booty wasn't reviewed as a retail product, but just as an arcade-style add-on.

PS3 games have been getting a lot of great reviews lately, hope they keep up the good work.

Anyway, back to topic! I hope Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time doesn't just fade away (for some reason, AA rated games tend to do that). It's amazing and could easily be reviewed AAAE as well. It holds 89% at GameRankigs, so it may just end up being an AAAE over there.

I called it. ToD would've been a AA had Tom McShea reviewed it. Still, ACIT is worthy of a AA, and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, tbh.

As it stands, PS3 still stands as having one of the best exclusive years of any console this gen, comparing to 360's 2007.

let me make this very simple for you.

8.5 PS3 = 8.5 X360
9.5 PS3 = 9.5 X360

Gamespot does NOT place 360 and PS3 at different standards like they do with consoles and handhelds.

Well this is a great score, but I have no interest in it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the reviewer received death threats from mad cows over this one, lol.

Oh well, 8.5 is still a huge improvement over the last one.

To all those outraged by the score,I think 8.5 is a good score for it. In order for a R&C game to get an AAAE score again they need to bring back Multiplayer, a previous feature that has been missing this entire generation. Why should it get anything higher then an 8.5 for missing something a lot of people have beenasking for. Simply put without multi its only half of what it can be.

It's generally a good review, but I can't help to feel GameSpot still underrated the game! I mean, in my opinion it's by far the most complete platformer this generation. And of the 7 main R&C games only one (the first) has received an AAA score, so you can assume GameSpot aren't exactly fans of the series.

Still, there hardly were any complaints in the review (except for the glitches only GS seems to pick up on PS3 games...) so it should be a must-have for any PS3 owner.
