Rank Uncharted from best to worst

I recently bought the Nathan Drake collection, and I'm almost done with my Uncharted 2 replay (not gonna bother with UC1; also why the hell isn't Golden Abyss in there, that game was really good)... and I don't know, maybe it's because of the 8 year gap, but all those incredible moments that took my breath away just don't seem as incredible anymore. Don't get me wrong, I still love the Nepal sections, and the convoy chase, and the train set piece, but something like the plane crash from UC3 or the jeep chase from UC4 are so much better.

^ That was beside the point though, I just felt like sharing my thoughts on the game. Anyway, moving on, what is your favourite (and least favourite Uncharted game)? How do you rank each game?

For me, it's Uncharted 4 > Uncharted 3 > Uncharted 2 > Uncharted: Golden Abyss > Uncharted 1. But I'm yet to replay UC3, so I might still change my mind about it's position.

Have only played Uncharted 3 and Uncharted 4 and parts of the HD Collection's Uncharted 1. From the two I've completed I'd say 4 > 3 definitely.

From what I hear from others I'd say 4 > 2 > 3 > 1. Not sure though, not exactly a huge fan of Uncharted besides the superb presentation.

With only the top 2 being good games, but no where near great. 3 is average, maybe, and Drake's Fortune is an out right bad game period.

I've only played 1 and 2 so 2>1. Do I need to play 3 in order to get 4?

lol, honestly. The reason why I prefer U3 over U2 is the puzzles. They were so much better in U3, especially the shadow puzzle, that puzzle was genious. U3 has the best puzzles in the series. Strangely enough all the other U puzzles are beyond simple and obvious

The music alone in Uncharted 3 puts it above the rest, imo.

Didn't play 1 so 2>4>3 but changes everyday really.

The minor caveat being you won't really appreciate all that 4 is without at least playing 2 & 3.

I wont ask you to rank Resident evil series from best to worse , no ill resist and wont ask that.

My Uncharted games ranks in this order:

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
2. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End
3. Uncharted: Drakes Fortune
4. Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Due to this is the Vita game, I did play it and I'll just included in this thread)
5. Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception

I would like to included Uncharted: The Lost Legacy upcoming Expansion Pack but since that ain't out, can't rank it here but I'm betting it'll go right besides UC4.

4 > 2 > 3 > 1

uncharted 4 is significantly better than any of the other games. uncharted 2 is overrated and falls apart near the end of the game

Yeah.. Also just rebought the collection and there is something about the second one that I really really hate. Maybe it's just the setting? Also UC3 MP was awesome, loved the maps.

I haven't played 4- don't own a PS4 yet.

But I'd go 3>2>1. As far as over the top-ness I thought 3 was better than 2. Would love to know why so many prefer 2 over 3!

I liked 4 despite its pacing. I think it would have gotten more praise if it was paced like 2, with encounters serving as the bulk of the game play.

You ain't missing nothing. The game from start to finish was a snoozfest. It's nice to know there is someone else who likes video games instead of interactive movies.

With that said, 2>1>3>>>>>>>>>>>>4

Played 2 and found it to be a mediocre experience. Played a bit one 1 and became so bored, I quit after a couple hours. Played a tiny bit of 3 and went meh.

They are all fairly average games.

Excluding 4, because I never played it, but I'm sure I could go the rest of my life without touching it.

You're really not missing much. Golden Abyss was just to show off (a tech demo to the Vita) what the PS Vita can do and Golden Abyss is just a spin-off, no relations to the main games.

@davillain-: Yeah, I grabbed it with PSPlus (I think) back when I had a vita. I literally got about 10 minutes in and didn't bother continuing.

I haven't played 4 yet but it does look very good. The rest I would rank as:

I really liked the first one but that was a while back so I'm not really sure how much I would like it now. The second game was awesome and the third, while being worse, was still okay. Didn't care too much about GA.

The 4th one was/is a big disappointment for me. I haven't finished it yet so probably it will get better. I'm around chapter 16 now I think. So far I can say that it doesn't do anything for me. Don't care at all about the story or any of the characters. Some parts felt much too long like the beginning playing as a kid or shooting plastic guns in the attic. I also hate when I have to find out by trial and error where to go next. Oh, let's jump into another chasm to find out if Drake will somehow attach to this wall over there. Nope? Too bad. The driving around in the car part was also atrocious. The only thing that could somehow rescue the game for me is an absolutely awesome ending but I don't have much hope.

Uncharted is one of the best Playstation franchises to me but it's about time that it ends.

Wow, lots of criticism for 4's pacing in here. I actually liked 4 because of its pacing, the moments of downtime allowed me to be more invested in the set pieces and the gunfights. In Uncharted 2 and 3 I became kinda desensitized to the high-octane moments because after a certain point in both games, that's all there was to see.

I didn't play Uncharted 1 so I won't include it. For me it is 3>2>4

1 is the best without question

The third game wasn't bad, liked it, gotta play it through again some day. The first one is bad, IMO the Vita game is loads better. Fourth game was amazing on the first playthrough, and good on the second, having problems trying to complete it the third time due to it having such a slow ass beginning. Second one was amazing in 2009, played it quite a lot, haven't played it in a while though, don't know what I'd think about it now.

But there are specific game design areas where I would shift the order around. My ranking is from overall impression of each title

1. Uncharted 2 (the only great game in the series)
2. Uncharted 4 (it's good, but it's a disaster of pacing, and ill conceived encounter design based on barely fleshed out mechanics)
3. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune (it's super rough and actually just a pretty bad game, but I really liked it when I played it first, and I have nostalgia for it, so meh)
4. Uncharted 3 (this game is a fucking dumpster fire)
5. Uncharted: Golden Abyss (Jesus Christ, why?)
