PC: 9/9.5- Only problem is you spend lots of money on the most powerful hardware and in a few months new hardware is released thats is even more powerful.

360:9- good games great graphics and online.....but unreliable hardware (My forza 2 is ******* up as i write this post!!)

Wii:1.5- Just not my kinda console, bad hardware, games that i think are mostly kiddy ( hate all that mario crap).

- And yet Nintendo still markets it towards kids with the GUI, Miis, Friends codes... because it's meant for kids.

wii- shows a new way to game. nintendo first parties. current line-up kinda weak, but future is unexpected. 8/10

360- pretty good system. requires too much add ons and stuff. horrible failure rate. games are overall pretty good. best online so far besides pc. but needs payment. 7.5/10

ps3- expensive, but has many features. not all required though. HUGE. POWER HUNGRY (electricity power). Ports seem better on 360. very few good games. 6/10

FUTURE

Wii- if utalized like DS and starts getting groundbreaking games- 9.5/10

360- good library, fixed failure rates, add on cheaper (OMG)- 9/10

The Good: Powerful hardware, great titles, great functionality, amazing online, and great aesthetics.

The Bad: Not always reliable hardware, power brick, no 65 nm chip as of yet, no 1.3 HDMI

Overall: 9/10

Playstation 3

The Good: Cheap Blu-Ray player, powerful hardware (but not better or worse than 360)

The Bad: Very expensive, no titles, online is lacking compared to XBL, poor controller, no unity between XMB and games (one cannot even invite friends to a match while in that game), online and XMB seem like an afterthought that is not executed properly.

Overall: 6/10

Wii

The Good: New, innovative ways to play games, developers can develop new ideas for the Wii, tons of potential for unique games, great first party, some good titles (SMG, MP3, and SSBB)

The Bad: Not enough good titles, many games are based on casual players, online is nonexistent, bad ports early in the Wiis lifecycle

Overall: 7.5/10

PC - 9/10 the thought of paying a grand for hardware that will be useless in 2 years is depressing, but it is just so much more functional.

360 - 8/10 so many games. no personal hardware problems. rogers ads on the ****ing console dashboard is too much

Wii - 6/10 fun in groups, 60% of my games so far are mini-game collections.

ps3 - 3/10. the games? resistance is generic. motorstorm? its like they looked at smugglers run from the ps2 launch and thought "hey, lets take everything fun out of it". anything good i have to say about the ps3 is trumped by the lack of games.

I sit here regretting my decision to buy a Wii almost everyday. If I had a 360 I know I would have more games for it and play it more often.Simba129

Controller:

PS3: Pretty much the DualShock with trigger L2 and R2 buttons, as well as motion sensing. Great controller, but pretty much the same controller for 3 generations. 7/10

360: The most comfortable, and alot better than the original lump of plastic that was the Xbox controller. Too bad the d-pad ain't so good. 8/10

Wii: It's definately different, and a great idea, but itgets a bit gimmicky after a while andisn't that comfortable for long periods. However,over time people will make great (and innovative) use of it. 9/10

Graphics:

PS3: Great graphics, almost as good as 360's but is yet to show its real potential. 8/10

360: At the moment it's clearly the best in terms of graphics, but the PS3 is closing the already quite thin gap. 9/10

Wii: Barely better than the PS2 at the moment, but that is probably due to lazyness or lack of development time. Can and will improve, but definately not comparible to the 360 and PS3. 4/10

Games:

PS3: At the moment, there's only afew games worth buying, but I predict that will change over time. 6/10

360: Constantly pushing out great titles, and with more on the way, but it should have more.8/10

Wii: Rushed ports, party games and mini-games galore! There's a few good games, just none that are really worth it. 5/10

Features:

PS3: It truly is a great media system. Not only is there a (fairly average) internet browser and connectivity with the PSP, it is also good for playing music, video and doubles as a cheap Blu-Ray player. Certainly the best system for people who don't play games.9/10

360: Also a great media system. Music can be played while playing games, and offers functionality between your PC, but you have to pay extra for the HD-DVD addon. 8/10

Wii: Lacking in the feature department. Even though it's meant to be a games system, it would be nice if it at least played DVD's. There is an interwebs browser, but that's about it. 4/10

Online:

PS3: Offers a great online service. Firstly, it's free. Secondly, it isn't as bad as people make it out to be. 8/10

360: Sure, you have to pay. But at the moment it offers the best online service out of the three. 9/10

Wii: Pretty much non-existant. Even though it has Virtual Console, it's pretty over priced. 5/10

Value:

PS3: Yes, it certainly isn't worth the $599 at the moment, but it will eventually go down in price. 6/10

360: The best value out of the three. It ain't cheap, but it's still fairly priced for what it is. 8/10

Wii: Basically a Gamecube that took too many innovative pills. It's overpriced for what it is, even if it does offer something different. 7/10

Future Potential:

PS3: By far has the most room for improvement. There really is a huge amount of potential, and in a few years it will be a good time to be a PS3 owner. 10/10

360: It's already great, but sadly, I don't think it's going to get much better. 6/10

Wii: It sure does have alot of potential to be a great system, but I think the fad will wear off eventually, sadly. 7/10

Looks like this'll just end up rebounding arguments. I could seriously go on (especially how the Wii is not aimed at kids - it wouldn't be selling as well as it is if it were) and that Wii isn't expensive (it's the cheapest new console out there and it devliers as much fun as any other console), but a lot of the stuff is your opinion. I'm finding wii online anything BUT pathetic. It's free, it's accesible and it doesn't suffer from (much) lag as long you have adecent internet connection.

I'm too busy having fun with Wii to care anyway.

Although I'd give the PS3 Current a 8/10 if I was rating it as a blu-ray player/multimedia center. Definitely a 4/10 current as a game console.

PS3 could sway either way. It could be a 8 or 9 out of 10 in a few years, or it could actually drop to a 3 or 4 depending on their marketing decisions and popularity of the machine.

Its a great console, has great FPS, Racing, WRPG,and Sports games. The online service is the best. The controller is near perfect (except the d-pad). The only problem is it has horrible reliability (i'm on my 3rd console).

PS3 - 8.0

Great console, has a ton of features, plays most PS2/PS1 games (plays all mine), online service is decent and is second best (console wise), controller is pretty good besides the lack of rumble. The games are pretty decent even though there isn't that many. It also has great reliability.

Wii 7.0

Its different and you can play all the old games from NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, N64, etc. Its affordable, its small, its reliable. The only problem is most of its games are bad unless they are published by Nintendo and the graphics can't compare to PS3 and Xbox 360.

Negatives

• Xbox Live is expensive (both the yearly fee and micro-transactions)
• hardware breakages -- "three red lights" -- are a huge turn-off
• is noisy, overheats and can scratch disks if not careful
• a long wait for the 65nm chips which apparently solve the problems

PS3 - 7/10

Positives

• the Blu-ray player is a superb investment
• a standard HDD gives devs some more freedom
• Blu-ray disks give devs some more freedom
• awesome future potential for both games and features
• has some of the best exclusive "veteran" franchises eg. MGS
• as far as I know, there are few hardware problems

Negatives

• it's not selling well, which could affect the attraction to third parties
• at $600, it's quite hard to swallow compared to a 360, which has better games
• the games aren't too fantastic right now
• the 2007 lineup isn't what i'd call breathtaking; many game delays
• a loss of exclusive titles which reduces the incentive to buy

• selling very well so more people are more likely to have one
• a cool new way to play
• is awesome for family get togethers and parties
• Nintendo first party is superb
• it's nice and cheap (ideal for summer gaming in my opinion)
• MP3, SSBB, Manhunt 2, Super Mario Galaxy, Super Paper Mario.... 2007 lineup is great
• with better third party support than the GC, more games are likely to be on the way
• Virtual Console, the Wiimote... hell, the Wii in general has massive future potential

• a serious lack of a unified online service and good online games; friend codes suck
• although cheap, it's somewhat overpriced for what you get
• The Virtual Console titles are a rip-off and the library desperately needs some Super Metroid
• there are still game droughts, most recently from December 'till Super Paper Mario..
• third parties are often opting just to tack on some Wiimote controls and ship out
• the Wii is underpowered and could really show its age by generations end
