I bought it, but I haven't opened it yet. Honestly, one of the reasons I bought it was because I heard it was selling terribly. I felt kind of bad for the developers because they clearly tried something different and put out a critically acclaimed game, but it suffered because it wasn't a popular type of game. I think that developers should be rewarded for trying new things and releasing high quality games, even if they're not Call of Duty or something that's really popular.
People don't share this state of mind with me, but I actually buy a lot of games that are critically acclaimed and don't sell well for 2 reasons. 1, to support the developer because I feel like they've earned it, and 2, because games that are critically acclaimed and don't sell well tend to appreciate in value over the years because there are limited copies. Take Earthbound for example. It sold well, but under a million copies, and it's a hard to find game now. It was critically acclaimed and developed a cult following, and now it sells for roughly $300 bucks.
I don't ever plan on selling my games, so I buy games for the long haul.
