I just saw a HD trailer of RE5 in gametrailers, and at the end it said "Biohazard, for Playstation 3". So my question is, will this game only see the light on the PS3? what about the 360? I thought the wii was the only system losing this game.

The funny thing is that the website says it's for xbox360 and PS3, and shows the case of the 360 version, but in the trailer it only says PS3. link here
I have a feeling that Capcom will release RE5 on PS3 first because the franchise was born on PS, then it will come to 360 a few weeks or maybe a month or two later.

I don't think that means anything, what about RE4? it started as an exclusive for GC, but it has been ported to the PS2 and PC (soon).
The game is multiplatform, and being released at the same time on both systems. The video you saw was just an old one and at that time it was only confirmed for the PS3. Think Assassin's Creed.
Also, notice how it says "for PS3" and not, "exclusively for PS3" . . .that video might have been done for a Playstation confrence.
The two games were announced together, they will come out together. The only reason they would make it a timed exclusive IMO is if they announced the 360 version later than the PS3 one. Â

AFAIK, Capcom has stood by their decision to take RE5 multiplat--day and date on the 360 and PS3, with a projected release date of 2008. They've been saying this since early in the production cycle, and considering the reception of 360 Capcom games, they're probably justified in "hedging the bet".

I hate it when they move games to 360. Then they cant make the game look good enough for the ps3 cause they know it has to work on the junk 360 too God just killed a kitten. Think before you post. Do it for the kittens.
its ps3 exclusive only in japan. but in america its for both consoles. thats what i heard a while back, but since capcom released LP and DR maybe a Japan 360 version might be there also

No. It's perfectly feasible given the 360 low installed base in Japan? The PS3's install base isn't that much larger in Japan. Also, they've got to record the Japanese voice actors anyway, and do all the character models anyway. . .so why wouldn't they release it for the 360 in Japan?

I never denied this. However that wasn't the point I was trying to make. What I'm saying is; If they're going to release the game for both systems anyway (in NA like you say) and they've got to do the Japanese voice acting and all of that stuff for the game. . .it wouldn't cost that much to release the game for the 360 in Japan. They've got to record and localize it for Japan anyway, so they might as well release it on the 360 and get more money. That's why I'm saying it would make no sense for them only to release the game for the 360 in the US. And like has been brought out before; Lost Planet sold enough copies in Japan that it made it profitable so I see no reason Capcom wouldn't continue this.
Well I think it's only for PS3 in Japan. Europe and NA get it on the 360. Japan doesn't get it on 360. I remember hearing this sometime a while back. Makes sense to me sense you metnioned Biohazard.

Actually, it is being developed for 360 and ported to ps3 so you have it backwards, but yes the original trailer said ps3 only, but it was running off a 360 dev kit which is why everyone new it was going to 360 as well.

It baffles me to hear people say "but the install base is so low". WTF people. Is RE5 coming out next month? Late 2008, mid 2009 is my guesstimate of when RE5 comes out. By then there should be a healthy amount of consoles all around for the PS3, 360 and Wii. And I really don't recall RE5 announced as a multiplat for PS3 and 360. Which is news to me. There a link with this info so I can read up on it?
Yeah seriously. People should read published interviews with devs before they go making bogus assertions, would save everybody alot of time and energy.
