UGH! RE5 did a lot of bad things, like bad story, "boulder punching", and forced co-op with bad AI, but it's hardly a L4D clone. It would be a much better game if it was!

By affecting 0.1% of games that get released.

Developers need to stop targeting the CoD audience, I mean I get the idea of trying to get the sales, but if everything resembles CoD....they can only buy so much and only a few games will actually sell well doing that, they're better off thinking of their own style and differentiating from CoD if everything just copy-pastes that style.

I thought the RE6 trailer looked very good. Fact is the gameplay from RE4 and R45 needed some work. I do not mind the direction.

I wish publishers would realize that you don't sell games by copying CoD.

Games like Call of Cthulu (first half), Penumbra and Amnesia are the new face of survival horror, and frankly they're far more suspenseful/immersive than RE ever was. The coop direction in 5 was a blast and at least gave the game an identity beyond being a game with bad controls.

Who didn't see this coming, like many of you i was waiting for a more horror type of game, but yeah, Capcom wants what Activision has...now to be fair, the trailer was kind of cool, i liked the action sequences, i might get this if it is fun to play.

I have no problems with them going the action route. RE4 is still bloody amazing and that was fairly actiony. But this just looks ridiculous with every character suddenly a super-ninja? Fighting helicopters? They've basically turned human characters that people who will actually BUY this game (the fans) already know and, for no reason, turned them into Dante-like super humans.

Seriously Capcom? You couldn't find a way to have lots of action/adventure and NOT turn every character into super ninjas?I don't recall Call of Duty characters fist fighting helicopters, falling off buildings and surviving, and doing crazy luchadore wrestling moves.
