There's plenty of reasons actually. Although I play on both PC and console, I'm primarily a console player these days. My opinion is the complete opposite. If you don't have a PS4 in this generation then you as a gamer are doing yourself a disservice because of the fuckin' fantastic games.
In terms of games, saying consoles have less exclusivity is pretty inaccurate. I was mainly a PC, MMO player growing up until last year when a friend showed me Horizon Zero Dawn, that game alone made me go out and buy a PS4 and boy am I satisfied. PS4 also has God of War, Bloodborne, Shadow of the Colossus, Last of Us, Infamous, Uncharted, Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza 6, Persona 5, Spiderman, Gravity Rush 2, etc. Some of these are among the greatest games ever made. PS4 will also be getting Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, Days Gone and Ghost of Tsushima soon. Xbox obviously has Halo, but admittedly they are lacking in the exclusive category. However, consoles get Kingdom Hearts 3, Spyro Reignited, obviously Red Dead Redemption. Console exclusivity is at its highest right now. None of these games are on PC and most probably never will be. Games also seem to come out way sooner for consoles, like RDR2 and Monster Hunter World. And then you have the Switch, which has Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey, Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, Xenoblade Warriors, etc. If I were to pick a gaming platform to buy specifically based off the games available, PC wouldn't be my first option.
Price is also a point worth bringing up. I can go pick up a PS4 for $200 right now and that small upfront cost sounds better to most people than paying at least $800 for a decent PC. Also, it's obvious that building your PC is the way to go and most people just aren't interested in that or want to. It's easier to pick up a PS4 at GameStop, plug it in when you get home, and play. You can buy used games as well if you want the cheapest route. Granted we do have to pay for online, but the cost of a *good* PC will most likely exceed the price of a few years of Playstation Plus (which also gives you a bunch of free games every month). Again, many people would rather pay a smaller upfront cost and some monthly increments than paying a big upfront cost. I can keep going but I don't want to sound like a PS4 advertisement lmao.
Mobility is a big factor for me. I travel a bit and stuffing my PS4 and a few games in a backpack is much easier than taking my PC around lol. Takes all but a few seconds. Unless you're using a gaming laptop which are nice but too expensive.
I'll try to think of some more reasons, I know I had some but I forgot. PC obviously has superior graphics and tons of good games on Steam, but most PC exclusives are cheap indie games that can run on an average laptop. I only use my PC these days to play games that aren't on PS4 or Switch like Cuphead really. I'd rather be on my couch. Also I like emulation but again, most emulators can run on any PC, not specifically gaming PC's. PS3 emulation is still ass and PS4 emulation won't be here for a long time. But the best trio you can have right now is PC + PS4 + Switch.
