I got it from Gamestop and after 3 days of playing Wii sports it got beyond old and I sold it to a guy at work with litte kids that wanted one.

Yep it is trash TO ME and that is all that matters. That is unless you are going to buy these awesome new games for me and make me enjoy them.

I have tons of xbox and xbox 360 games and even lots of gamecube games. However I only have 4 wii games and they bore me to death. I kinda regret buying a wii, i've had lots more fun with my gamecube. The wii = rehashed franchises with new controls. i've already played zelda, paper mario, mario kart, resident evil, metroid last gen so why buy them again.

i agree with him. I played WiiSports, RE, and Rayman, and didnt touch it after that.

1. Mocked Nintendo's innovation, and haven't got the balls to admit they where wrong.
2. Assumed that because of Sony's last 2 consoles, PS3 was a guaranteed success. It was not.
3. Wrongly thought that because PS3 is the most expensive console it would be better.
4. Where insecure about not appearing 'gansta' to their 'homies' and thought that Wii might spoil that.
5. Began gaming two generations ago and wrongly mistook Nintendo's charm as being kiddy.
6. Decided that Bluray would make up for the lack of decent exclusives.
7. Still believe that Playstation 3 will turn out okay, continuously recycling the phrase 'Wait and See'.
8. Wanted a console that would run at 120fps with four HDMI ports, actually believed their Playstation 3 would traverse through time and that rumble was last gen.

Funny, the most "amazing" thing about Wii thus far is that it has actually sold well. Everyone is floored by it. Why? Because its Nintendo. Because anyone who's been around for a generation or more knows that Nintendo always falls a little short groundbreaking titles.

As always sheep forget the inequality in a Wii 9 score and other systems with the same score.

If a PC, 360, or PS3 titles gets a 9, you know it has a great story (dpeending on the genre), great graphics, great A.I., great gameplay, great sound, etc. When a Wii title gets a 9, no one can be confident all of those important features are being hit. Off the bat you know graphics and audio will be piss poor.

Shoot, the only thing that ever really set Wii apart from others and showing an advantage was with the Wii-mote. But shoot, didn't even have that working right in SSBB. But, yet, it scores a 9.5 here and gets editor's choice. Just like with handhelds, the Wii is scored in its own way. It is NOT scored on the same crtieria that PC, 360, and PS3 are scored on.

You can't tell me a DS games that scores a 9 is every bit as good as a 360 games that scores a 9.

We all know what the real scores are. We all know that no REAL gamer would buy a Wii as their only intended console for the whole gen. Its a secondary console at best. Its the one console that doesn't show much more value than a console rental for a weekend or two.

One last point. Without the growing-up-Nintendo factor, the Wii would be getting awful scores. Its the nostalgia in the reviewers that gives Wii games a inflated score. If Nintendo was a new company, and the Wii was their first console, these games would be scoring much, much lower.

I bought a PS3 and a Wii so I would not have to miss a thing. The Wii lineup in 2008 is not very abundant though. I am gonna get "Brawl" "Wii Fit" and "Mario Kart" I think that is about it. I am excited about all 3 of those but that is it for me and Wii in 08.Khansoul

I can't wait for those three games to be released so people actually notice the other great games coming out. They're being completely overshadowed by Nintendo titles as always.

I have a PS3 because...

HOW CAN YOU NOT GET TIRED OF BUYING GAMES THAT ONLY FEATURE MARIO AND FRIENDS??????

I have Oblivion, Call of Duty 4, Assassins Creed, Warhawk, Resistance, Uncharted and Ninja Gaiden Sigma

None are even possible on Wii (not bashing 360 but I didnt want to invest in something that wasnt more reliable)

So it came down to the brand that has kept me happy for over 10 years, Sonys PS3

First off, the Wii is a great console.. infact its beating both 360 and PS3 in sales of consoles and games. Super Mario Galaxies even got GOTY.. so who won the 2007 war? Wii.

For 2008, SSBB got an amazing score of 9.5, however, I doubt it will get game of the year. I love SSBB and I can find myself playing it still in 2010.. however, it wont compare to the amount of fun I will recieve with MGS or even GTA

The PS3 is not a bad purchase... even Xbox360.

The Wii, although it is a great console, is inferior when it comes to graphics and hardware performance. Thats why your not seeing GTA comming out for the Wii or even COD4. Super Mario Galaxies has great graphics, but is not on the level of 360 or PS3 graphics

That funny cause every shop I walked into in new york last week had a absolute ton of them sitting around with customers completely ignoring them for 360s and PS3s.

The shops here in new zealand are the same, the wii popularity has sharply declined and the same is true in australia cause my brother just picked up his PS3 for DMC4 an asked me what the console was like cause theres always a ton of them in stock (I told him not to waste his time).

I'm planning on selling mine unless the lineup picks up dramatically.

As for Australia the Wii recently became the No1 system (sales-wise) in that territory so goes to show anecdotes don't tell the whole story.

And Finally good ol N.Z. I don't think N.Z has ever been a very big market for console gaming so it's no surprise that little interest has been generated. But besides that how could the Wii's popularity in N.Z decline when it has never really peaked?? The only ads I saw for the Wii in the entire lifespan of the Wii were last year around christmas time. Which is hardly enough to generate mass sales.

My works headquaters is in New York its a very painful flight but luckly I have my R4DS in my DS for my trips otherwise I'd go insane (I do buy my games, however R4 is extremely handy for away trips so I don't lose my carts).

It still has games I would like to play. Unlike the Wii witch has games I am not interested in. It is that simple.

I picked up the Wii last. I got it about 4 months ago.

I played it a lot for about 6 weeks as I went through all the games I wanted to try.

I was not really liking it. I finaly realized that the only reason I got one was for all the hype and the console itself is just not made with me in mind.

I am really not bothered if the 360 is going to die, I still like it. In fact, as a long time gamer I am used to my hobby being unpopular or totally underground. It is just par for the course.

four HDMI ports?!...they originally said only two and if you think about it rumble is not needed except certain games like racing games especially. plus it gets annoying when your playing at night when you have to turn down the t when everyone is sleeping and all you keep thinking is someone calling your phone when really your controller is just vibrating.

Lemme see, all of the PS3 AAAs so far are also availible on either the 360 and the PC, while the Wii have more AAA exclusives so far this year than either the 360 and the PS3 combined. Yep, the Wii sure is trash.
