Red Dead Redemption - NEW MULTIPLAYER FREE ROAM VIDEO!!!.....GOTY 2010

If this game came out on PC i bet the modding community could turn this into an mmo...but alas...

I nver liked Western games but RDR got me really excited that I preordered it couple days ago.

Yes the guns were archaic but the main reason it got my attention is its massive, beautiful open world that filled with tons of animals.

I was 2 seconds away from making a topic yesterday asking why people AREN'T talking about this game. You see I thought I'd be fine with buying Modnation Racers, Killzone 2, AC II, FF13, and others when they got cheaper. Now Rockstar has comes up with this and the gameplay and world look so interesting. The third person gun play and the whole multiplayer set up looks INSANE. Just wow...

What I really hope for is that the framerate holds up..

This open world MP looks boring and probably won't work too well with people running off and doing their own thing or whatever. I am hoping they will have some other MP types which what the guy talked about at the end. But the single player looks like it will be great.

i have ltos of doubts in this game, simply because i cant rely on trailers. i mean, releasing a 2 min. video with a ton of 2-second gameplay shots does not work out for me. i want a full-fledge 4-min demo trailer of how the game works i.e. completing a sub-quest or whatnot.

and then we got free-roam..which is like the game itself, but like an MMO. it's really neat, but, uhm, i don't really understand the posse(sp?) thingy. is it more of a clan/guild which needs dedication or more of a party where anyone can just join whenever however? anyone??? i also have doubts as to how gameplay with work on that. it says it's free roam, but the deathmatch thingy is only up to 16 players?? and then they said there are more 'structured' modes other than free-roam? so i take it as you can run into a deathmatch and join anytime? or would there be a queue for 16 players and the nyou'd be transprted to an area or whatver then do deathmatch??

lots of things. seriously. cant they release a dev diary of some sort, instead of these narrated vids?? they only hype us up, but they're not that infromative imo. a month away and we barely know the details of this game. we know stuff like pelting animals or 200 random events like encountering bandits, etc. but they freakin never show a full gameplay of it. i mean, they got 199 other events available geeez it's not like it'll spoil the game or anything.

man the R* marketing team must havecame intheir pants when they saw that video, it almost had me sold. My only concerns is that it is the largest game map R* has tried to do and im wondering if it will be mostly empty crap (FC2 comes to mind). That being said the 16 player free roam looks incredible, i can see myself ditching the story to play that nonstop.

im sorry but..uh..GTA 4 wasn't as good as GTA 3 at all (and, Rockstar North made the game). and, Midnight Club LA wasn't that good of a game either. Red Dead Revolver was a mediocre game as well. what's your point? here's a lis tof their games as Rockstar San Diego i mean, they're not exactly GOTY contenders.

Now hoping that this whole "level up to unlock new weapons" won't end like Bioshock 2 where everyone uses the grenade launcher or w/e is the strongest gun in RDR.

I personally hated that.

Free Roam in GTA4 is amazing.

I expect no less in Red Dead.
