Not really. The physics of aircraft are pretty much arcade compared to DCS A-10 and similar sims. And they're still pretty much games. VBS comes closer to that term.

They wouldn't take back a game that cannot be returned. RO2 cannot be returned.

Your opinion hinges on you actually playing the game which we have no evidence that you did and that you returned a game that cannot be resold or refunded by Valve.

As much as I want to play it I've heard it's very buggy and that it suffers from some major performance issues (The only UE3 games with those kinds of issues are Section 8: Prejudice and Sanctum but I've heard that RO2 takes that to a whole other level).

You guys dont know what youre talking about. BF3 and RO2 are very very similar.

Similarities:

Both have people
Both have guns
Both have people shooting guns at other people
Both have WASD movement and shooting by clicking the mouse button. I mean one could have left to shoot while the other had right button to shoot but NO! They BOTH use left button to shoot!
Both have grenades
Both you will die in, if said people shoot you enough with said guns.
Both you run around on your feet
Both you are a soldier in

and most importantly..

Both take place on the same planet, out of the billions of planets... both take place on the same. Seriously, wtf?

As clear a trolling attempt as his OP is, there is unfortunately some semblance of truth in that. Red Orchestra 2 really isn't very good, and I'm not just saying this because 'it's too realistic for me', it just isn't good. It's unbelievably buggy, crashes every half hour or so on my PC, is not only far uglier than any of it's competitors but really badly optimized as well - even with a pretty good rig, you'd be lucky to get, say, 30 fps out of it, in a game with graphics which would have been top of the line in about 2004, which is oddly much worse than the beta, hit detection is all over the place, everything feels clunky, not because it feels 'realistic', but robotic, and multiplayer is practically unplayable due to how god awful the server browser is, it's clearly unfinished and overall a much worse product than it's predecessor.TheOtherTheoG

BF3 won't be like RO2 so don't cancel it.

There are some bugs and performance issues, but I'm sure they'll get worked out in the coming weeks. TWI always supports their games.

Gameplay is absolutely awesome, I'm probably going to be playing this for years.

TC probably just assumes it plays like BF3, so he uses that to try and insult it without realising at all how different both games are.

I purchased Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrand yesterday from my local shop, I've played the multiplayer of the game and I really cant stand the game and how horrible this game is. This game made me consider to cancel my pre-order for Battlefield 3. Thlyis RO2 is extremely buggy It is, the graphics are terrible no worser than any call of duty game no, the gunplay is so bad no, so slow-paced this is a bad thing?. I've returned my copy back to gameshop. It seems MW3 will be the only sucessful FPS and posibbly best game of 2011. Guys, if you are look forward to get RO2. My opinion is, dont buy this game and save your money for MW3.

Having a blast! Definatly has its issues but nothing that cant be patched or makes the game unplayable or not enjoyable.

Definatly not a game for everyone though i will say, its more for ARMA, Operation Flashpoint, Ghost Recon, RO1 fans then more modern onlien FPS fans.

Well I dont mean EVERY person who liked those games will enjoy this, I just mean Ive met alot of people on there so far that have liked one of those games I mentioned above in the past:P

Mainly for the realism and how the gameplay is more geared towards team work and playing things as you would in real life.
