Resident evil 4 still great

I just recently purchased, dead island, gears 3, bulletstorm, resistance 3 and a few others that I cant remember off the top of my head but yet Im still playing a game that came out in 2006. Yea this game is still that good. Truely one of the best games ever period.

I just can't play it anymore.

I'd honestly swap out games that have come out this generation like Uncharted, Gears, Dead Space for a game of Resident Evil 4s caliber.

I agree. I would kill for another RE game to come out and be as atmospheric as it.

I wonder why they decided to change the game and not go with this idea. not saying that it was a bad idea or anything because resident evil 4 is a masterpiece but this game looks kickass too

I've only played it for like 5 minutes but so far the controls and voiceacting sucks!!

RE5 has nothing on this one. The whole co-op idea took away from the gameplay

I thought the controls sucked when I began playing, but after a while you really get used to them.

Yep it's a classic, and it's a shame Capcom took the same formula and completely ruined RE5.

I just can't play it anymore.

It's not hard to go back and play old games.

It does beat Rsident Evil 5, anytime.

I am playing it for the first time... I played the PC version for a bit on the first level at a friends house but it looked like crap... like they took the ps2 version and upped the res. if i remember right it wasn't even widescreen, and the videos were super low res. The hd version is silky smooth, it looks good and it plays great on the dualshock3... the lack of rumble was bad for me trying the pc version. PC is not meant for this type of game.. imo. This is the only new RE game I like..I loved 1 and 2, and 3 was annoying with the nemesis following you all the damn time. Never played Code veronica...getting that next.

Is code veronica more like RE1-2 or RE4? I couldn't stand RE5 and traded it in. The co-op nature of the game sucked and made me not want to play it and I couldn't stand the environment and the fact that the first level was annoying with the bag people and the huge guy. It didn't have the same appeal as re4 has.

While on topic though, I'm glad people are enjoying the game that ruined the Resident Evil series, taking it from unique Survival Horror to generic Action game.

RE4 was one of the worst games I've played in the past few years.

One of my favourite games ever, I've played it countless times and am loving playing through the HD version. Have to agree though the fact it has been upscaled as opposed to redone in true HD is yet another fail from Capcom, but even so I still think it look okay. Can definitely understand the disappointment though.
Gameplay wise I think it holds up incredibly well. I just love this game.

Code Veronica is basically Resident Evil 3 so its like RE1-2 (Capcom for some reason decided to back stab Sony and made RE3 exclusive for Saturn and leave the Playstation with a spin-off, but after some convincing and since the games were in an advanced point in their development they decided to change names, so Resident Evil 3 became Code Veronica and achieved the status of spin-off and the Playstation spin-off became Resident Evil 3 with the superior status of sequel)
