Resistance 2 a failure compared to Resistance in terms of sales

Of course some users will move to Killzone 2 just as happens with every other old online game when a newer online game comes out. I have yet to run into any PSN or XBL title that had no servers up (with the exception of Stranglehold on both platforms...which doesn't even have users online playing on pc). Most have alot of servers up. And, yes, even PDZ does. Like i said, i was surprised as well, regardless of whether you believe me or not (yes, i can sense sarcasm). So your whole argument here was based on nothing but common sense? Yet you had to spin it with melodrama to make it sound more "certain"?

I just got done playing Resistance 2, Gears 2, Battlefield BC, L4D (pc), and Fable 2 today. I'm taking a break. O noes!

btw, if you can't see through the internet, then how about you just know who you're talking to? if you know I'm obviously neither stupid nor crazy, then why come at me like I'm a brand new poster with zero rep here?

I already stated why. Only a new user would make such a comment like "When does Killzone 2 come out? That's how long Resistance 2 has to live". You make it sound as if all Resistance 2 players are just going to dissapear and be on Killzone 2. Of course, some will. But that happens with all online games, yet, most still have alot of players playing online. Only a new user would make that kind of assumption/comment. If you didn't mean it and were being melodramatic (as you put it) then ok but then it's not my fault but yours. I admitted from the beginning of this that some would migrate from R2 to Killzone 2 because it happens with all online games. Despite this, as with R1 right before R2's launch, it will still have tons of servers playing.

I don't care about UT3. I simply said that I played it a few days ago and it had alot of servers with people playing. If you don't believe me then great, have a cookie. I'm not going to claim that it's like that everyday as i don't play it everyday. I don't think it was that good to begin with, least not as good as UT2004.

OK. UT3 didn't decline in sales/activity due to R2, or any other game for that matter. It didn't provide enough interest-value to PS3 owners, it beat itself honestly. R2 won't *die*, it will most likely (based on trends) co-exist with KZ2 and continue to sell steadily. Other games come into the picture because the situations are comparable. It may not be hard to find a game on UT3, but it's not nearly as easy as finding one on Warhawk or R2.Episode_Eve

below are pictures of every online mode available. I think it's fair to assume Saturday night would reflect the busiest night of gaming. and considering we're in holiday time (peak gaming time)...this is probably as good as it gets: using the most inclusive search options available:

this is what UT3 (PS3) looks like under every mode, from Deathmatch to Team Deathmatch to CTF, VCTF, Duel, Co-op.

this is UT3 on the PS3. this...is sad. and it's been like this for the last 6 months. these pictures were just snapped moments ago. and they were taken after multiple refreshes to show the game in the best possible light. it simply gets no better. sadly. I paid $60 for this. (Puckhog...or however your name is spelled...you're owned. kthanks)

Note: UT3's stuggles very much had to do with other games. It launched around the same time as Halo 3, Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Haze and others. It wasn't the best UT game...but it wasn't bad enough to warrant that kind of reception either. but when the boo-birds come out, they can poision a whole community. pretty sad, huh. that's as good as UT3 on the PS3 can get.

Like I said, "may not be hard to find a game on UT3". I haven't played UT3 in a LONG time. And that choice wasn't based on other games. UT3's activity and success on the PS3 has nothing to do with games on another platform. And still, if this is the case across all platforms (I have no clue), then one thing is true: the game simply doens't captivate interest. The majority interest and percieved value for a game like UT3 isn't directly comparable to R2, and I think it shouldn't have been brought up in the debate to begin with :?. Since it 'died' long before R2 (or any other "better" game in the genre) released, it doesn't contribute to your original argument.

It is a pretty damn good game actually man.

3rd will be on 360 i am 100% sure.....but i dont even want it lol the only good part about this game is 60players online with no lags.Syferonik
