- Communities from Mario Kart will become a regular feature in Nintendo games
charizard1605
Awesome :D I love the communities. But the better question is, will certain communities be able to roll over to other games? By that I mean, since there is a SW's community for Mario Kart 7, will that same community be able to be accessed in say... the next Smash Bros for the 3DS/ Wii U?
Are they doing away with the tablet controller for a traditional controller?...............No, oh okay. *walks away from uninteresting thread*AmazonTreeBoa
It is a traditional controller though.... just with a touch screen in the middle. Also, I think there is a reason why there are usb ports in the front of the console i.e. for wired controllers/ "traditional" controllers.
FULL RETAIL GAMES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON BOTH 3DS AND WII U ESHOP Okay Nintendo, you convinced mecharizard1605
But the question is, will it blend?
So then, I will be able to download say... Pikmin 3 on the Wii U and then sell it to one of my friends once Im done? I wont lie, when I read your post that I am quoting now, I squealed an unmanly squeal.
That would be incredible, if they allowed that, I agree.
FULL RETAIL GAMES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD ON BOTH 3DS AND WII U ESHOP Okay Nintendo, you convinced memeetroid8Does this confirm an internal hard drive? I can't imagine they expect us to store entire games on flash memory.
I do seem to remember it being comfirmed that the Wii U would support external hard drives/usb/sd cards for memory storage. Though, this could very well mean that the Wii U will have an internal hard drive or... very large flash memory compasity.

Yay.
Cases are nice but I like being a closet nerd. I don't like having a bunch of cases laying out all over the place :P
No problem! My hype for the Wii U shot astronomically through the roof.some real good news today !! Thank you Charizard, keep posting whatever else you find :)

These week has been really good for the WiiU. First it's alot more powerful than I had thought if that rumor is true, then the rumored name change, and now this. I am trying really hard to keep my hype in check but it is really hard. If everything turns out how I hope then I wont need the other consoles.
Wow, thanks for the link, that video was awesome. I can't wait to see how Nintendo uses this. This is what NFC can do amazing!!!

- Digital will include user to user communications and sharing. Iwata mentioned the possibility of selling your copy of digital game to a friend after being done with it.

Best Idea I've heard from the Big 3.

Well, I don't like to sell games to my friends, I usually just give them for free, especially if they're no use to me anymore. I hope they also let you do that.

Indeed, this could also solve the problem of used games. Maybe.
I'm feeling the same way. My hype for the WiiU keeps going up, while the rumors for the new Xbox has my hype for it going down. As long as Nintendo comes through and doesn't screw anything up, I may just need the one system. These week has been really good for the WiiU. Maybe they're not your "Friends", but just someone who is willing to buy your game at a cheaper price.

Exactly, see this doesn't get rid of the Used Game Market, but doesn't hurt the Developers either, at least I don't think, dunno. Oh well sounds like a very smart Idea.

perhaps you could sell the game to a complete stranger?
Wait, wait...
Will the 3DS also have an account System? Why did they only mention the Wii U.
And why is it still called Nintendo Network!?D4W1L4H
I have a feeling that this is also going to be for the 3DS as well. I mean Kid Icarus is supposed to come out on both the 3DS AND WiiU, according to Charizard anyway. What he said made it sound as if The eShop is also the WiiU's shop, So by the Time the Store Launches there would already be loads of content ready for download.
Please don't launch it in the holidays. That would be a cluster f*ck like the Xbox 360 launch, and will end up hurting them rather than helping them.RandoIph
I don't see how it would hurt it's launch. So long has nintendo finds some way to balance the launch of the system I think it will work just fine. But, who knows.
I have to say being able to sell your DIGITAL copy used is pretty cool.GunSmith1_basic
Yeah it sounds nice, not only that, but it could potenially (assuming Nintendo/ 3rd party develops get a small % of money from the transaction) provide a solution to the problem with the used game market. If handled properly that is.
Awww man it sounds awesome, but sadly I am starting college this year so I will be short on money...:(

See that's the type of Solution that is acceptable, unlike Microsoft wanting to ban Used Games in general.

Yeah it sucks that college has to be so expensive :(
But oh well...
work. I go to college and still work.
I wonder how they'll do dd games on the 3DS. I mean will they put the game on the sd card or what?
GamerEye
Could be. Or maybe they will have some "cloud" like digital storage system...who knows.
That wouldn't work at all. And who would buy a game for a handheld that can only work if you're connected to the internet? I was just wondering because it seems like that would make games even easier to pirate.
Indeed mate. Though lets not forget that them "banning" used games on the 720 or what ever it is called is only rumored :P I'm hoping they don't.
