Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 leak release date spotted! Update: GS already confirms it will release Oct. 11th PS4!

This info comes from Gamestop leak and it's listed as a full price game and say release date, October 11th, at 60$ but I'm hoping that includes all DLC at that price to make up for the waiting on the MS deal expired over a full blown year for PS4 owners. It's going to be really interesting to see if PS4 owners gives a damn about Rise of the Tomb Raider. So take this with a grind of salt and as far as I'm aware of, nothing comes out October for PS4 so.

Update: So it looks like Rise of the Tomb Raider leak was in fact the real deal everyone and GS already Confirms it for October 11!

Makes sense for a Fall release, try to get some holiday sales.

@davillain-: Considering the date for Resident Evil 7, right above, is 24-01-2017, I'm thinking the format is day-month-year; which would make Return of the Tomb Raider October 11th.

Great game but at this point it should cost $39. It's far from a new game anymore.

I didn't even get it on PC, no chance I'll get it on PS4.

This is turning out to be pretty packed holiday season with the releases coming in the last half of the year. Thankfully for this it seems that everyone did a pretty good job spreading out their releases, with many happening in October, some in December. November has fewer releases, but some big ones nonetheless, like COD Infinite Warfare and Watch Dogs 2.

I guess this is an okay time to release it, exactly 1 year after the release of the first, in probably the slower time of the month and right before holiday shopping really takes off. I think it goes without saying this will include the DLC, but I think price will be just as important, which I don't think they can justify going over $40 for it.

In his defense, I can understand where he's coming from not paying $60 upfront when the other guy was release last year. While I don't mind paying $60 for a new game that interests me, this isn't exactly a new game release. Its been out for Xbox One over a year. So either it better come with a lot of extras DLC, improved framerate, extra costumes, etc. or it better lower the retail price to $50 and of course, make up for the whole MS deal fiasco. I for one enjoy Rise of the Tomb Raider when I play it on PC, I hate to see this game being miss out by PS4 owners.

Shit, I didn't see that one and I do know Resident Evil 7 is set to release late January with that date as well.

Uncharted 4 was more than enough for me this year i might try tomb raider if they give it to us for free on PSN+ otherwise I'm not interested.

Tomb Raider just isn't the kind of game that people get massively excited about one way or the other anymore. I expect it to do well enough on PS4 if they bundle it with DLC but all the hype for the game died completely after its initial release on Xbox One and then PC so they're trying to flog PS4 players a port way after the event.

Basically, they get the price and the content right or people say whatevs and move on. I was tempted to buy it for PC but never got round to it and then just forget about it. They totally fukked up making this a timed platform exclusive and I wish them all the ill luck in the world as a result because I hate these practices on any platform.

Why would you bother with this when the "10/10", "ESSENTIAL" game been out and exclusive to the system? This is just a poor man's UC for those that are stuck with the Bone.

I say uncharted 4 is a better overall package but rise is a more fun game to go back to and engage in firefights.

Pretty much every late PC port has people moaning that they deserve a lower price/all DLC etc. One of the biggest recent uproar was last year when GTA V came to PC, people cried on the Steam forums how they won't buy a 2 year old port for full price, many people even got banned from the SteamHub because they claimed they're gonna pirate it. People also cried when FFX/X-2 came to Steam a few weeks ago, somehow paying $30 for two games is too much since it's a late port. The same shit is going on right now as I write this in multiple FF SteamHubs, they're whining that FF XV and FF XII HD aren't coming day1 and how they're gonna pirate it or get it on a 75% sale because they have to wait.

@cainetao11: I just felt like I was watching cutscenes and hiding in grass a lot of the time...but with TR there was action and exploring. Overall package I take TR.

I honestly did not enjoy Uncharted 4's story tbh. The graphics are nice but there was too much walking and climbing and not enough gunfight time. I liked Tomb Raider reebot because of the "loud and dumb" gunplay and action. (Really disappointed Chole did not make appearance either)

Can't wait for this game I don't see why people are crying about paying 60 for it. The GTA V PC version was not released for over a year and people never had a problem paying full price for it. If you work I don't see why paying 60 bucks is a big issue your paying for a new game for your system.

Uncharted 4 is an achievement in making games equal to summer films. But rise is more fun, for me, to play sequences again.

Well I played it already on X1, great game. I beat the last one on PC, then 360, then the Definite edition on X1. I ended up getting the game free on PSN and started it for a 4th time.

I plan to play ROTR on PS4 if it becomes available.

It has been a loong wait. Was some what of a weird combative move from microsoft contrast to where MS is today. There is only one things to improve on from the xboxone version and that is the AA solution. Hophely this is a definitive multiplat version at $60.

Big mistake from SE to do time exclusive and dividing the fanbase like that. Now people wont be all that interested for the next TR game.

Teaser gave me some Dead Space + Alien Isolation vibes, definitely excited to see more
