[QUOTE="Blackbond"]If you have a PS3 and a 360 why one would choose the PS3 version is beyond me.lawlessx
people may still go with the ps3 version because of its controls.
I'll take a better game over a preference in controls. Both have 4 face buttons, 4 shoulder buttons, 2 joysticks, and a D-Pad. We aren't playing Street Fighter Hyper Fighting we are playing GTA4. If one game is indeed superior over the other I choose the superior version. Its not as if one of the controllers is going to be detrimental to the experience. I went from DS2 to Controller S back when Madden made the jump I can swtich again.

Also some people my not care for the DLC. I dont. Heck if its an important plot in the DLC ill just read wikipedia to see what heppend. THats the only thing the 360 version has over the PS3 version. Other then that its the same game.
Lets say the bonus content is just added missions. Is it really worth it ? How many people actually play GTA for the missions ?[QUOTE="Blackbond"]If you have a PS3 and a 360 why one would choose the PS3 version is beyond me.kage_53
From what I heard from interviews and stuff its eposodic dlc,but will it be important to the story. I honestly dont think it will. i mean its pretty dam messed up if you have to pay to see a real ending. I dont think it will be connected to the main story itself. Just like a side story.
Nope not in denial at all think the normal game will definitly be enough for GTA and as I stated plenty to play in 08 on the ps3 so no reason at all to buy any dlc for GTA. And the comment about dvd9 and dlc was just a joke. No I don't think the dlc will be on the ps3 version (included).
Oh and no I'm not saying more games is a bad thing just saying my time will be definitly taken up by all the games for me not to worry about the dlc the 360 is getting.
I think cows need to accept the battle for GTA IV is lost for them. We have the best version, and our version will sell significantly more than the PS3 version as well. V_Isle
All thats dif is DLC. Its still teh same game.

Interesting.
So by your own admit you are a self proclaimed fanboy?
Nice to see we play video games for the sake of snobby elitism, instead of playing them for what they used to be.
Unless it says "exclusive content only on 360" on the GTA IV cover, it won't make any difference.slickchris7777Ooo you will see the difference my friend. Wait til M$ markets this game as being the "definitive version" to own. The commercials, the billboards etc. The casuals will come flocking like sheep *no pun* :P
If you have a PS3 and a 360 why one would choose the PS3 version is beyond me.BlackbondIf I bought the 360 version I would not buy the extra content anyways, I am rather dubious about how "Good" it will be, no doubt decent but I never really like the Missions in GTA and more less the random stuff that will come base with the game. So it all comes down to my control preference.
I guess i'll probably get the 360 version then, though i'd much rather get the PS3 version.
I really hope MS never buys exclusive content for a multiplatform game again.

Dude if you really want the PS3 version then get it. If you really want DLC that I feel isint going to be important to the main story then 360 is your choice. Like I said before it would be dumb if rockstar didint give you the real ending to a game after making you spend 60 bucks and make you pay more for a real ending. Also this is a blog saying that rockstar said 360 is the best version not Rockstar themselves.
[QUOTE="WilliamRLBaker"]I will be geting neither version dont like the GTA series..so dont see why i'd like this one.lawlessx
what was wrong with the past titles in the series?
just didn't like em and you can take that for what it is.

Welcome to System Wars.
A bit harsh on Sonys part but hey, Im not complaining
do both games have the same graphics and gameplay?.. do both games have the same release date?.. yes and yes..
so for the price of $60, every PS3 owner and every 360 owner is going to get the exact same game, right?.. yes?.. 'nuff said..
this type of news only matters to the most hardcore GTA fans.. surely (just like all GTA games), the title is going to be already packed to the brim with content.. honestly, much more content than the average player is going mess with.. if i know Rockstar, for $60 this game is going to be epic within itself.. if hardcore fans want to pay an extra $20~ for extra content, that's great.. nearly anybody else wont too much care and will probably be moving on to other games by the time they're done with 70% of the things that are going to be available to them within this game.. let alone paying money for more things to do....
now dont get me wrong.. this is indeed "good news" for 360 owners.. but in terms of the originial $60 value, there is no "definitive version"... and in terms of DLC that you have to pay for, well, it's just that.. extra content that you have to pay for.. most casuals arent going to be interested...
There you go, like it said on the last paragraph, Rockstar said themselves if you own both consoles and you get the PS3 version you will miss hella things from the 360 version. The 360 version will be the DEFINITIVE version! Jump in.

"rockstar" didnt say that.. check the link.. it's looks like more of an opinion from a guy from thebitbag.com..
Yeah i have both 360 and PS3 and im getting the 360 version for the dlc and achievements. If you have both PS3 and 360 and you get the PS3 version thats pretty much dumb,i mean the dlc is gonna be huge and we get two of them and then as time go on im pretty sure rockster is gonna announce more.
But too bad for cows that only have PS3 they dont have a choice but to get it on the PS3 lol.Yea cows no need to post cuz everyone already knows which version you guys are buying lol.
Rockstar: the 360 version will be the definitive version. That means that the 360 versions will define the GTA series with GTA IV and the exclusive episodic content. Remember folks, it takes two to tango, so Rockstar had a choice if they wanted to make a deal with M$. But I think after making Tennis Table for the 360, they had a taste of how big the rewards will be if you make something exclusive on the 360. Too bad Sony doesn't buy exclusives.
honestly, who would turn down 50 million dollars? Plus Sony paid for a Rockstar exclusive which hasn't been announced yet.Rockstar: the 360 version will be the definitive version.
