You mean $50 Mill that works like a loan

It's deferred revenue. Microsoft expects Rockstar will make at least $25 million off each of the extra content downloads, and so they have offered that money in advance. If the content doesn't make that much, I believe Rockstar is required to pay back the rest of the money.

did u even read the entire post...he even pointed out how Sony did it to...buying 1 year exclusivity to said title. so why are you jumping on MS for doing the same thing. it's business, a good business move. this game sells consoles, get the better version, even if u have to pay for it LIKE SONY DID.

No doubts here I'm getting the PS3 version. My 360 is too loud. I like to play this game when the kids are sleep and I need to still hear whats happening. Headphones have helped but none long enough from my system.

Anyways the PS3 will get its own content and either way you'll have to pay.

San Andreas was fun as hell to play and that was on the Xbox's big clunky controller. the 380's controller is comfortable as hell...i don't think controllers will be the issue.

Saints Row wasn't too different in terms of gameplay comparison to what I had felt with PS2. And honestly Sony's controllers now feel so small for me. I'm spoiled by the 360 controller cause it fit my hand so well

Thats your opinion. Honestly Im pretty sure the DLC wont be important to the overall story. So in the end if you dont care about the DLC then PS3 version is jsut fine. Like me I dont care for the dlc.

Nobody said Im broke...I just dont want to spend ALL my money on video games and online play....im going on vacation in May as well. Who said I was broke? Just priorities. Why pay for internet when I dont have to for a game I truly love? I have car payments, rent, a girlfriend and im in dental school....XBL isnt at the top of my list by any means.

My opinion is that the DLC is going to be to the 360 version of GTA IV what LCS was to GTA III and VCS was to Vice City. If MS is going to get their 50Mill worth, it better be. I'll be getting the PS3 version.

I'm not hating on MS or T2/R* for making this deal. However, unless the DLC turn out to be an entire game (GTA IV Stories), I don't see what all the hoopla is about. And why are PS3 owners trying to front like we got no love from R*... Lest we not forget LCS and VCS for PSP AND PS2???

Anyway, hope you 360 owners enjoy the DLC as much as I did LCS and VCS. Both added a lot to the stroylines of their parent games.

Thats the thing though, this DLC doesn't come out till FALL. Its a trojan horse, man. A carrot on a stick, the ring in the ovaltine box, the toaster with the new bank account. Do you honestly believe the DLC will be something cut out of the main storyline when most people will have already beat the game months before? It may well be a new (Statton?) island with more stuff, but its not something people will really miss. Until they hit 100% at least.

Your right, but if I were you I would rather point out the fact that PS3 is getting L.A. Noire exclusive, and possible further Rockstar games if they turn to Sony. I would much rather have a new full game with a complete new story than more of the same.

I own a ps3 and i can admit that the 360 version is better.

Then why dont I feel all that bad that I'm going to have the inferior version? I'll tell you why. They are still the same game essentially. To be honest, if I owned the 360 I probably wouldnt' get the extra content anyway, especially if it costs a lot. That ultimately depends on the the nature of the content, but in every gta game I've played, I've been sick of the game by the end. If there was extra content for san andreas I definitely would not have got it. I know that seems like a fanboy response, but that is just how I feel. I say that it is more fanboyish to say that the extra content makes the the ps3 version irrelevant

edit: my advice is that if you have a ps3 and a 360, get the 360 version just in case that content is great and in case you might want it. If you only have a ps3 though, dont sweat not getting the content. It is not a huge deal

Thats how business deals work... Rockstar could put DLC multiplat, with no apparant difference with what system to buy the game for or which system you're buying anticipating the game. But MS is fighting for the upper hand, they just want to offer something that Sony doesnt to the GTA universe, which would be downloadable content. If you ask me, that is good business.

From what I've read, the DLC's will last about 8 hours each and may add a new landmass to the game (which seems unlikely). I predict it will cost 1200MP.
