Changing discs after 20 hours of playing, big deal. Why is everyone talking about this?

Because it's not 1997
I don't want to swap discs, I'd like to be able to rip all three and just keep one disc in the tray for the entire game

When I use my PS3 for games (which is something I rarely do, it's a BluRay player that's also a sub par gaming device) I'm not in the middle of Uncharted 2 and it says "please insert the game disc Infamous to continue"
There is no excuse for this
If I were to get it on a console, I'd get it on PS3. Not because disc swapping is a hassle, but because I install all of my disc games on 360 because the disc drive so loud. I'd rather have one long install up front than three installs spread about.

I dont know why they don't do that, Froza did that, and atleast 1 other game did

Forza did it and Mass Effect 2 did that
I don't mind keeping a disc in the tray after I rip the games but at least let it be just one disc, I mean this is one reason I have a large hard drive. I rip all the games I'm currently playing so why not let me rip multi disc games and just keep whatever disc from the set they want in the tray?
I don't get it

Or you could just rip all three at the start?
That never occurred to you?

No. You have still have to swap discs in ME2. After the Horizon mission you have to swap discs, then just before the suicide mission you have to put disc 1 back in. You're right about Forza 3, though.Again, do you have a 360?[QUOTE="DroidPhysX"][QUOTE="Solquid_Snake"]
Lemmings enjoy disc swapping, what else can I say?
Oh yeah, they also like getting less content.
Solquid_Snake
Why should I when:
1. I get exclusive content.
2. I get exclusive games.
3. All of my games are on 1, scratch-resistant disc.
You also have no online.
It does show the limitations of an ordinary DVD drive.

How can disc swapping NOT be a hassle. It totally breaks immersion which is what LA Noire is desperately trying to do. Im guessing lower ratings on the 360 versio for this reason
alfredooo
lower ratings because of disc swapping? you can't be serious
Its an exaggeration yes but if some games can get less marks by breaking immersion with cutscenes, which are still in game, then why can't this be docked marks for actually breaking all flow of the game completely to make you get off your seat for a disc swap? Come on, we live in 2011. And also if you scratch one disc and it doesn't work then doest that mean they are all bogus?
I wonder how one could possibly worry about a trivial task like disc swapping. How is that such a big deal?
JW-toch
Some gamers like to blow everything out of proportion. It's nothing new really :P.

When you install a game on the PC, it extracts the content on to your hard drive. Doesn't do that on the 360 or PS3
