Rumour, Rockstar going PS3 exclusive after GTAIV

Apparently Rockstar has had it with Take2, buyouts, ect and will be leaving Take two, and will no longer work on GTA games as that property will stay with Take two. Instead they will jump into bed with Sony like they did last gen and will make games exclusive for PS3.

Also there is a guy over at Neogaf who the mods say is credible, who is also saying he has heard this story and all will be revealed in a few days.

So to sum up, GTA will still be on 360/PS3 in the future, but all future Rockstar games to be on PS3 only.

actually, i think they decided that PS3 would be the LEADING platform in multi plat development.

Not exclusive for PS3. it's just easier to port from PS3 to 360 than the other way around.

Wrong, Rockstar stated that the install base wasnt big enough to make the money back just on the PS3, thats why they went mulit-platform. Look it up.

More like the rumour that, since Bungie is no longer "officially" part of MS that Halo could go multi-platform. Improbable but not impossible

halo license is owned by MS, it isnt going to ps3. future titles from bungie, thet are not halo are possible, but very unlikely, since there still close with MS.

Not entirely impossible. NG got transferred to the PS3 and with completely redone graphics and additional material. Granted, it took about 3 years...........

Microsoft Game Studios is publishing Ninja Gaiden 2. Will it still end up on the PS3 then? :|

Besides, if you haven't figured out by now, Itagaki hates anything that isn't a Xbox product.

So basically, Rockstar will be a PS3-Focused Company after Take-Two is gone. Won't matter, because after that happens they won't be worth a damn.

There is no were in either of these two rumors where they say anything like this.

rockstar have made a few decent games in between gta...manhunt....bully...midnight club...state of emergency...but none would sell a console half as well as gta...if this rumour was true...id would not really help...what name is bigger grand theft auto or rockstar...what i mean is it dooesnt matter if rockstar piss of and make other games...take two will be able to publish gta games till the cows come home...while rockstar could make a potentially great game...and it might not sell...weve seen it before...some of the most inovative games of all time have hardly sold...ico...rez...shadow of the colussos..of cours i am basing all of this on nothing...other than guess work.jay_french_cool
