If this rumor is true, is Rockstar basically thinking that GTA IV won't actually make near as much money on Xbox 360 as PS3? Because, you know that if a company decides to develop exclusively for a console, they typically go to the console that they think will sell the most copies of their games. This might even explain why Rockstar is developing exclusive content for Xbox Live. Rockstar was paid to do this. If Rockstar is truly going PS3 exclusive after GTA IV, then there really is only one explanation...RockStar doesn't think that GTA IV or their future titles this gen will sell nearly as well on Xbox 360 as they would PS3. It is basically a slap in lemmings faces and an admittance that PS3 will bring them more revenue (if this rumor is true). Afterall, PS3 is selling better lately and outsold Xbox 360 by 17% in January.

Maybe RockStar is being logical after all. If this rumor is in anyway true, than RockStar sure doesn't put much faith in the 360.

And If the rumour is true, then all I can say is at least Sony have a great team of devs working on exclusives for them because that's the kind of thing they really need right now..

Do you think Sony is paying Rockstar money for them to go exclusively with Sony?

You would think MS wouldn't let this happen and they'd throw some money in there, so Rockstar would make games for both consoles. MS has to know that this would be a huge blow if Rockstar went exclusively with the PS3...

It's the official site, and for platforms it says "Next Generation Consoles". Not just PS3. Plus if you look on all the other sites for it, there is nothing positive about it being PS3 exclusive.

It's up to you to prove it is exclusive, because all signs point to it not.

The main thing is, why would there be nothing about it being exclusive on the official sites? Why would they say coming to Next Gen SystemS if it was exclusive and only coming to one?

Now, we don't ever see Sony shouting about any sort of exclusivity for this game, and Team Bondi still say either "PS3″ or "next-generation consoles" depending on who you speak to, so this still doesn't really count as "official", but there we go.

Yes, we've now more reason to believe that LA Noire will be coming to the Xbox 360 console (as well as PS3 of course) after VideoGamer.com noticed that a job advertisement for Team Bondi posted up on Gamesutra looking for a Lead Animator, states that platforms involved are the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

just in case anyone missed the debunking of this on the PS3 boards - the quote was taken out of context, actually misquoted. it was from an interview where R* indicated they would do lead development on PS3 from now on and port to 360 because of all the problems they had with GTAIV getting it to run properly on the PS3.
